If you want to put your head in the sand and be a denier thats fine but dont spread miss information. There is enough of that going around confusing people and slowing the way out of this pandemic.
What some consider “misinformation” may be a reflection of others true experience. There is rarely a single/universal solution to a problem. I use this forum to seek the varying experiences of others, evaluate them, then decide my action course...

I believe the worst is over now. Felt pretty good this morning at 5:30am and took a walk down the drive way glorifying God. Feel like I work 3rd shift today which is manageable. Tried to do all the recommendations here with exception of quercetin which is just getting some miles added up on the package. I have ate 3 to 4 meals a day whether I wanted it or not. Looks like the rest of the family is coming down with it. Wife is on 2nd day of symptoms and seems to be faring better than me. She is O-neg blood. Seems like there was some correlation of blood type and symptoms. We've tried to stay active and get sunshine.

Both my wife and I have gotten both the Moderna shots . Wear the damned-able mask when forced to , but hate doing it . Living in Arizona , and not spending our lives in air conditioned sequestration , we both get plenty of sun ( Vit D ) . I also take the Quercetin and Zinc Picolinate that was suggested on another forum . I'm blessed with a above average immune system , and haven't even gotten a cold since 1993 , when I contracted the flu . Can I or would I survive Covid ? More than likely , but why take the chance . Leaders we trust ; like President Trump have taken the vax , so what's the big deal ? Protect yourself and your loved ones . Those who die from Covid , or the Delta are also the un-vaxed , but the survivors have been vaxed . And though they get sick , and are miserable for a week or so . Survive ....Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out people . Just a little applied common sense . If you don't have "other" medical issues that would conflict , get stuck . It's a pain in the ....arm , but the alternative is a whole lot worse . See ya on the line .

As a side note, I haven't completely lost taste/ smell. Anything with vinegar is rank to me now like ketchup, mustard and dressings. Smells have an odd whang to them sort of metallic.

Reactions: oht
They did do tests with cloroxiquine and it proved to not help the outcomes of patients.

My understanding was that trial was very small and only done on people with sever illness . There are little to no treatments that work on sever illness including the vaccine . That drug through out the world has been shown to work quite well when give early in the illness or after known likely exposure . That was my point , they debunk it and then don't allow debate through censorship with the help of the private sector .

Who's the denier , those that question or those that don't allow questions . I'm not denying anything , just would like a free and open discussion .

to say there are no drugs being used in the treatment is not true however.
Well sure now they might be but leading up to the vaccine authorization , nada . Could this explain the rush to full approval , more and more studies throughout the world are showing alternative's work "now" . All this follows a very specific time line that can't be overlooked .

If you'd like to post a link to the full text of your published, peer reviewed scientific article on hydroxychloroquine in COVID patients I'd be happy to do a critical review and post it here.

As for the vaccine, it prevents severe illness to a huge degree. That much is obvious. It does exactly what the ivermectin crowd is asking for: a cheap (it's "free" as in already paid for whether you take it or not), safe, preventative measure. Discussing treatments that work on severe illness, it is undeniable that ventilation has saved thousands of lives. Anticoagulation as well.

Sometimes, like with mask wearing, it's hard to prove an independent intervention makes a difference. But if you add up the cumulative effects of uniforming primer pockets, flash holes, case trimming, neck turning, weight sorting, etc, you can see groups tighten up. Do flash holes alone shrink your groups? IDK, it it's easy to do and doesn't hurt anything.

Then there is this scenario
They tell us to get a covid test. We test positive, then find out that the test itself is only about 60% correct, false positives.

Then we want to go to the doctor to get treatment. The doctor doesn't want to se you if you have a positive test. Should you make it to their office, they check your temperature and if you have a fever you are sent home.

You call the doctor to get something sent to the pharmacy for treatment. He says that he can't give you anything because he must see you first.

OK, then make me an appointment. No I don't see patients that have tested positive on an unreliable test.

One big circle jerk similar to wearing masks that don't work even thou you have had the vaccine. And half of the covid cases are people that have had the vaccine.

And if you have natural immunity, that counts for nothing and still have to have the vaccine and wear a mask.

I would pull my hair out if there was enough left to grab.
My God man, you nailed it!

I got my booster two days ago. My doc's told me if I ever test positive to get to our hospital immediately for monoclonal antibodies. It was also indicated steroids for inflammation would also come into play. Hope to never get that crap...

I talk to people (both in real life and online) regularly who tell me that the delta variant is running rampant, emergency rooms are overflowing, healthy young people are getting sick and dying, elementary school kids are at extreme risk, and it's all the fault of the unvaccinated. Just being out in the real world, it really doesn't seem to me like that's the case. Just to make sure I'm not going crazy, I look at my state's Department of Health's Coronavirus update page every so often to see what they are saying. According to the Minnesota department of health, here are a few key stats that I find interesting:

1. There have been a total of 11,134,990 Covid tests performed in MN.

2. There have been 635,222 positive cases in the state since the first one was confirmed on 3/5/20.

3. Of those 635,222 positive cases, 34,466 required hospitilization, with 7,006 of those being in an ICU.

4. Of those 635,222 positive cases, there have been 7,767 deaths attributed to the Coronavirus.

5. Of those 7,767 deaths, 4,540 of those people resided in long term care or assisted living facilities.

6. Death numbers in my state peaked in November and December of 2020, ranging from a low of 21 (on 11/1) to as many as 86 (on 12/3) daily deaths during those two months.

7. Current daily death rates are in the single digits, we have not had a double-digit day since 5/22, which had 10.

8. Of our 7,767 deaths from coronavirus, exactly 3 have been people under the age of 20. 208 have been under the age of 50.

9. 4,555 of the deaths have been in people aged 80 or older.

10. The average life expectancy in MN is 78.4 for men, and 82.6 for women.

I am a relatively healthy 46-year old man; I am not overweight, I don't smoke or drink, I eat healthy most of the time, and I exercise regularly. I recently had Covid. I was fairly sick for about a week with most of the standard symptoms. It was not all that unlike other times in my life that I have been sick; flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, regular colds, etc. It sucked while I had it, but I have fully recovered and am not noticing any lingering effects whatsoever. My wife also had it 1 week after me, and she is now fine also. She did go to the ER on a Saturday when she felt like she was having trouble breathing. It was nearly empty. All of her vitals were fine (oxygen levels, etc), but she had a sinus infection for which she was prescribed 2 antibiotics. That seemed to be her main issue, and she was on the road to recovery almost immediately after starting on those. My understanding is that we will now have some natural immunity from having survived the virus. I am having a really hard time getting worked up about any of this.

Here's a link to all of the data I referenced above, in case wants to look at it for themselves:

MN Dept of Health Coronavirus update

These numbers are from 8/24 and the stats are updated almost daily, so if you look at the link today, the numbers are likely to vary slightly.

vax'ers blame non-vaccinated, non-vaccinated point to the vaccine as the cause of the variant...

everyone blames everyone else.

I had round one and it sucked. if I were older and in poorer health I would get the shot. I'm not. I am not convinced that a vaccinated person can't pass the virus (delta now) on to another vaccinated person, and pretty sure that both can pass it to a non-vaccinated person. I am relying on natural immunity from the first round. It sure seems like the first vaccine for the first round is less than efficacious for Delta. .

I figure if someone got vaccinated, good on them. If not, good on them. I just hate seeing people blame others for 'transmitting it".
How many times have I had the floopoopusoftheblowhole? Too many times! The only time I've ever blamed someone it was because they made chili with meat that sat out. No one raises a hand and volunteers for a case of botulism "Hey, I'll take a side order of the chits please!" and no one is running around asking for covid either.

Let's just recognize that it is deadly in some cases, and it is not to be trifled with, but also recognize that we still have a lot to learn.

Texas man Caleb Wallace aged 30 dies in Hospital. He was an avid anti mask wearer and promoter.

Jessica Wallace told the newspaper her husband began experiencing Covid symptoms on 26 July but refused to get tested or go to the hospital. He instead took high doses of Vitamin C, zinc aspirin and ivermectin, an anti-parasitic medicine used for livestock that officials have urged people not to take for Covid-19.

He was taken to an emergency room on 30 July. Since 8 August he had been unconscious and on a ventilator.

Given his stance he tried all the alternative treatments before being admitted to the hospital and ICU he died a month after being admitted to the ICU.

I guess you could argue that he died because he was most likely stopped from taking his medication regiem in the hospital. He had 3 children with his wife pregnant with their 4th

We live in a country at approximately 350 million people. You can find a case of literally anything happening if you want to look for it. You show me one 30-year old guy who died of the Coronavirus, I show you my state’s Dept of Health website (link in my previous post above) showing that of 650k confirmed (plus an unknown number of unconfirmed who never needed medical attention, like me) cases in my state, exactly 208 people under the age of 50 have died from it in the last 18 months. How scared would you like me to be?
