I think Yeti sort of sealed their fate.Maybe we should start a #MetooYetiNO campaign?? Except I am a Fudd and have no idea how to do that...
Happy to see that people are willing to take a stand against these "sportsman associated manufactures" that are turning their backs on the very people that kept them in business. I wonder what the Duck Dynasty boys think of all this.
How about Jim Shockey ??? He promotes Yeti, Nosler and TC more than any other company out there. Besides SCI. I think BPS and Cabelas will be next. Plenty of excellent coolers out there to replace them.Happy to see that people are willing to take a stand against these "sportsman associated manufactures" that are turning their backs on the very people that kept them in business. Blowmolded design. Strong for sure just not rotomolded.Don't forget about the Lifetime plastics company. They are selling a molded cooler similar to Yeti and Orca for $97 at Walmart currently, 55qt. Might just replace my old Coleman Extreme that has broken hinges. I did fix one coleman with a scrap stainless hinge from work, I'll keep that one.
I used a piece of heavy tanned leather to fix a broken hinge on a Coleman Extreme. Repair has been holding for years now. A country boy can survive.Don't forget about the Lifetime plastics company. I fixed my old Coleman the same way about 10 years ago, with Elk hide. Maybe they should come that way from the factory. BarlowI used a piece of heavy tanned leather to fix a broken hinge on a Coleman Extreme. Repair has been holding for years now. A country boy can survive.jd
I pulled the hinges completely off the coolers that they broke on and siliconed the holes. The lid comes completely off when I open it now. Crimped a bungie hook thru one of the holes near the handle on one side and use the other open hook thru the hole on the opposite side. Holds the lid down tight when closed and off when I need to get in it. The leather is a great idea tho.Same thing I did.

Fixed mine years ago with a couple pieces of nylon tow strap. Cut to length then burned the ends and screwed on, tough hingeI used a piece of heavy tanned leather to fix a broken hinge on a Coleman Extreme. Repair has been holding for years now. A country boy can survive.jd
Shockey is getting a free lunch from them, hopefully he finds out and turns around . As far as Cabelas and Bass pro not sure ? I don't no that much about Johnny Morris .How about Jim Shockey ??? Engel is on that list as well. FWIW...RTIC coolers are still the lowest priced rotomolded coolers out there besides Ozark Trail from Wally World. The Friends of NRA Industry Supporters page lists only one cooler manufacturer that makes rotomolded coolers in the USA, provides a lifetime warranty, and has a factory direct product (KENAI 45) cheaper than the China made RTIC. I hope you all will give us a look.

Kenai 45 with Accurate Shooter and NRA logo on it? I'm in.
