Wipeout patch out

I have some wipeout patch out and accelerator coming and would like some advice on the proper method to use them thanks

I found out through the use of a Hawkeye bore scope that you don't even need to use a brush if you know when it needs to be cleaned and use the wipeout patchout and accelerator regularly.

I've used it with Accelerator for years and as someone already mentioned, use Hoppe'#9 first (with a brush). More effective and the WipeOut/ Patch Out & Accelerator work faster.

Patch out (wipe out) whatever you want to call it) and Accelerator are both really good at what they do.
There is a whole line of products available from the company that provides the cleaners, I use a aerosol product from him called Flush out ( all organic). Company up in N.E. part ok Ks. Very nice friendly gentlemen, Used to be a shooter, stays in contact with powder manufacturers, trying to fix all the problems they create when they change or make additions to the powder I know he is manufacturing some products for some departments of our military at their request .

Only situation I have with any of his products is availability, when you find it available grab some extra to have some stashed back.

I thought the whole idea of using Wipe Out - Patch out was no brushing of any kind, some barrel makers will void the warranty if you use a bronze brush, there seems to be quiet few shooters that brush and use other solvents prior to WO-PO....kinda defeats the purpose IMO.

Read and follow the directions on the containers. It is easy and really simple to work with them.

I had the idea it putting a soaked patch on a brush and letting the carbon ring soak overnight, as usual it was a bad idea after the soak there was rust in the freebore area of the barrel!! Luckily it didn’t ruin my barrel. I’m still using it and it works great just FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER’S DIRECTIONS.

Do you dry patch the Hoppe’s #9 out before applying Wipeout or leave the bore wet with it?
YES! Wipeout and accelerator says I'm the instructions to not use those with any other cleaning product because they can't guarantee it won't harm the barrel.

I don't know if hoppes mixed with wipeout/accelerator would hurt it, but to be safe I make sure to patch out the hoppes. Also, you'll get a lot of powder residue and carbon in there from the hoppes that should be removed.

After brushing, a patch or two wet with hoppes and then a couple of dry patches should take care of it before using the accelerator/wipeout.

For extra precaution, you might use a patch with alcohol after the dry patches to remove any traces of hoppes, but I haven't found that to be necessary

Sort of. But if you use a bore scope and look at the efficacy of 1 round of wipeout or patch out with and without brushing with hoppes first.... There's a big difference.

I wouldn't buy a barrel from any mfg that says the warranty is void if you put a brush through the barrel. That's nuts
