Clouds and some marine layer fog. Fire season is usually mid to late summer.Nice picture. Is that clouds or wild fire smoke?
Just thinking of all you fine folks in parts of the country already dealing with snow and inclement weather as I dig my feet in the sand watching the sunset in Ventura, CA.
Happy Holidays to all y'all and your families too.

I shot a Remington 22 RF yesterday at my range. It was 20 F and 5 mph wind. I lasted about 10 minutes!Says it is 4F here at the moment, south central Alberta, might get up into the mid 20's later on. Used to think nothing of it 30 yrs ago, but, the circulation is not what it once was, I feel the cold a lot more than I used to. I'd like to get out and do some shooting, but, have to evaluate how much suck I am willing to tolerate these days. Wind is the determining factor more than anything else.
And this year, we'll take all the snow we can get, need to refill the ponds and hope for some rain next summer, or there will be trouble with crops that is far worse than this year was. Duck and goose hatch took a big hit on it this year, as the ponds were gone in July, large bunch of the natural roosts dried up, reservoirs are way down.
