Wind Reading Clinic and Match at Elk River Sportsman's Club, Minnesota

Yah buddy!!!! Mucho Grande Grub!!

Big Applause and credit goes to the Elk River Guys: Scott, Fast Eddie, & John!!! Awesome job and I can still feel the love up here in Fargo, eh. Thank you for putting on this great event..

Kudos to Steve and Rick for a great clinic, sincerely appreciate your personal time that you spent with us all. I did learn alot, still cant shoot fer doo-doo. But with practicing and working on the things you showed us, I am sure I'll get better. If I cant, I'll buy a savage in 308 and go shoot with Farmers Dennis and Mike out in the fields... That was great watching those two shoot.....

Overall, great experience was had by the ND delegation. Got to reknew a few friendships and make many more new ones. You guys (Elk River) have a great thing going and you be seeing us again..

ps- Please tell fast eddie (when he recovers), next time I wont eat 3 fiber/granola bars for breakfast before I join him in the pits...

Rod,
You have nothing to apologize to Ed for. He is usually the one who has to apologize.

A great time was had by all. The weather broke so we could shoot Saturday afternoon, and Sunday was a great day. The only issue I had was that I wanted to shoot too. Next time.....

Please tell me you didn't!!! :'(

He did! He gave me one of the fiber bars as I called the line early in the day. I was wearing wind/rain pants and they are hanging outside. They work.....

I also want to thank Scott and crew for putting on a great event. You are all great people and have an awesome facility. The 5 hour rain delay on Saturday didn't seem to bother anyone as it gave us all a chance to BS and hang out. Not something you get to do on the firing line.

State should definitely be a go for me. Hopefully Rod will be able to make it as well.

To give you an idea of what a great time it was, Joel just bought a 6BR off here today so he can start shooting league on Monday nights with you guys!

Let us know if you'll be able to make a trip up to GF to shoot. We have the F class championship on August 4th and 5th, and the Regional on June 23rd and 24th.

Take care
Brad

Brad,
Send me the match bulletins and I will get them circulated. We need to keep quiet about how much fun we had, if word gets outs, we will have to schedule for a fourth relay!

Scott -
I just bought a rifle yesterday from a forum member that should work better than the .223 I was planning on showing up with. It should be here in about 10 days, so I will be able to start showing up on Monday nights for a few of the matches. All I can say is yesterday at the Gun Stop got bloody expensive buying brass, dies and bullets for this 6BR ;D. From what Rod is saying, the money is just starting to leave the checkbook.

The wind clinic was great. The match was even better... Shot my first clean!! Looking forward to the state match.

Guys,

Glad you could make it. It's fun to put faces together with user names.

One of the nations top shooters receiving a little hands-on training from an up-and-comer:

I won't name names.

John has me on commission. Seriously, you went to the right store. John won't sell you what you don't need. See you soon with the new stick!
Scott

Yeah, I've been doing business with John since back when he was working with Don at Ammocraft. Haven't been in that store since John left and started his own business.
