saying I suck at wind reading is an understatement,,I came up with a drill I been doing about twice a week for a month or so,,my rifle shoots really good groups and is zeroed dead on in a no wind calm condition,,
what I do is shoot one shot at each dot and wait one minute and shoot the next dot,,with no sighters just watch the flags and shoot one shot and wait a minute and shoot and so on,,no adjustments made on scope for the 20 shots
the wind was really rough here today and switching from every direction with enough force to blow the 68 gr Berger 3/4 an inch to an inch when it was full value which is the trick for me determining what percent of that I am getting,,
at least I am trying to get a handle on it,,and I think shooting with no sighters and waiting between shots is helping me, I dont know of any other way to get better in wind than to shoot in wind so thats what I am trying,,
today I only had 4 really bad shots out of 20 which is better than I was doing but I still have a long ways to go,,
anybody got any tricks to speeding up the learning curve??
this is todays target,,shooting 6PPC with 68 Bergers and 29.5 VVN 133
