I have a M70A (A=cheaper version with a "blind" magazine -- no floorplate -- and no plastic cap on the fore-end ... I actually prefer the "A" model) in 270 Win that I bought new in 1981. Mine is push-feed and she's a shooter!
Supposedly, uncommon ( but not "rare" ) in a Featherweight - not many were produced in .223. Great little rifles. Figuring out how to shoot mine for accuracy took some doing. Letting the forend ride on the front rest/bag with only my right hand/grip controlling the rifle produced 1-2" groups ( at 100 ) with quality handloaded ammo. That’s a Model 70 Featherweight. I bought a M70 Featherweight in .280 Remington in 1985. It has been a favorite ever since. I absolutely do not need it but would probably buy it.
