Need help with gun value

I have a pre 64 Winchester m70 featherweight supergrade in 308. The gun is all original in almost mint condition but I can't find anything about it. Any help on value and rarity would be greatly appreciated thanks.

i'l take a shot at it...!
4000. plus dollars... condition wise.?

to accurately put a number on it.. you would need.. s/n , pictures
discribe the stock .... what makes you think it is S.G. Featherweight... just asking ?
box paper work..

95% is 5500.00 today but it has to meet the criteria which means no wear on the bluing what so ever and no dents in the wood or finnish impairment. Basically like new. Yours if real is the rarest of production winnys so get it to a guy who is in the know and have it appraised and put it in a vault.

By the way a lot are faked to become a supergrade. There were only 1000 made including every caliber. Take it out of the stock and make sure the stock doesn't have filler near the rear sight base area.

I have pictures and all just not going through everything to post them on here. I also can't get that good of quality pictures with a cell phone. It's stamped featherweight on the barrel and has all the attributes of a featherweight. But it also has supergrade on the floor plate and all the attributes a supergrade is supposed to come with. It has the short barrel, metal recoil pad and aluminum bottom metal. It also has the jeweled bolt/extractor as well as magazine follower, fancy stock and checkering with monte carlo comb and a cheekpiece as well as the black tip on the stock. By dating the serial number it shows late 1956- early 1957.

sounds like the real deal..

i would have it appraised.. but my guess would be near 6000. +/- depends on the condition

good luck with it... if you don't need the bucks an your young enough i'd probably put it away

lucky you...

Thanks guys. I am young and have no desire to sell it. Just wanted to know exactly what it was worth and if it's rare. Back to the safe it'll go to hopefully become more valuable.

First, I would look at some of the gun auction sites, try to find one like it. www.gunbroker.com is a good one.

Most gun dealers will let you look at the Blue Book of Gun Values; they all carry it. You are not too far from Hendrshott's Guns in Hagerstown, MD . They deal in high end guns and can give you an idea of its value.
