Why so many Magnetospeed Chronograph in the calssifieds ?

I use blue painters tape for about 2" on the muzzle. Properly tightened the bayonet will not rotate/loosen.

Tapered barrels maybe more difficult to keep the unit from slipping? I have mostly straight tubes and have never encountered slippage.
