Why is AR Comp the Red Headed Step Child?

I don’t think this should be a problem. We have plenty of AR-Comp, and a strong supply line.

We have been using so much in factory ammo, there has been plenty coming through the line and across the ocean for canister and OEM.

Its funny you say that because most everyone is out of stock right now.

I made a unilateral decision. I'm running AR comp, r16, and R23, and Alliant Lt32 and that's it. And if they make this formula in Lt32 speed I'll switch to that.

We have plenty, but in order for it to become available where you are looking it needs to be ordered. Things need to work through the distribution...

As a service rifle shooter that averages 3000 - 4000 rounds of 223 ammo a year I keep AT MINIMUM a two year supply of everything;
Primers, AR Comp, and an assortment of projectiles from 62 - 82 grains.

I also have 20+lbs of RL15 on hand in case future any future service rifle barrels happen to prefer that over the AR Comp.
Some barrels have proven to have certain preferences than others over the years.
And around 30+ lbs of AA2200 DATA powder for SHTF ammo.

I run three Service Rifle Uppers in various stages of wear from heavily used so kept for pure 200 yard practice only / loaner upper to, well used but good life left in it out to 600 yards with know zero's to the latest and freshest one with good zero's and solid predictable loads. Typically have installed at least one fresh barrel a year on one upper since around 2003.

I had just started in the last 2 years with AR Comp (switching from previous #1 of RL15 ) and all my uppers love it so far !

Glad to hear there is a good supply in the pipeline but i will still never wait till I am out or even almost put before ordering... Bad practice if you shoot 1000's of rounds a year.

For people only feeding hunting rifles I would think a 1 lb jug should last at least 5 years...

Shooting in a blasting wind from 7 oclock and no wind flags. Interestingly the very smallest was the node right around 30.2 but the node between the other two the point if impact is very constant. Look at the spreads. Shot at two different times.20191003_202704.jpg 20191003_202709.jpg

Ar comp sucks. :)

Alliant has the best decoppering additive on the market. Its that black stuff on the first two patches. No carbon to speak of... no copper.

Does that include RL-15? I always thought it was just sooting up pretty badly (despite shooting quite well.) May have to change my spiel.
