Who Is Gene Clark and Why Would I want One of His Uppers????????

Who is Gene Clark? I really haven't been living under a rock, but I have never heard of the man.
Why would I first of all place a pre-order for an upper that is built from parts that anyone can get. I might get better who knows.
And then wait for who knows how long to get the thing. 15 uppers a month may or may not have a lot of people waiting a long time.

Saw that in the Creedmoor catalog and several of us had the same question. With the connection to Dennis, I was guessing one of the USMC team armorers? Possibly from AMU, but I don't know him from there if he is/was. In the meantime, John Holliger at WOA, Frank White at CLE and Derrick Martin of Accuracy Speaks are all known quantities, build superb AR Service and Match rifles, and are pretty decent in terms of delivery times.

I mean no disrespect to Mr. Clark but for the price I seen on these a guy could almost buy a complete Rock River NM rifle that will shoot better than most people can hold

Ditto for Frank White at Compass Lake Engineering. He has built 2 of my AR uppers with Krieger barrels. Excellent turn-around times, fair price, and superior workmanship. Who could ask for anything more?

I feel the same way as 280man. I never heard of Mr. Clark. John Hollinger built my match upper, and I will go to him again in the future. Haven't worked with Frank White or Derrick Martin personally, but there are some shooters in my HP club that use their products, and they are awesome!

After obtaining my Kreiger barrel and took it to my smith, he assembled it and test fired it while I watched. Total time from boxes of parts to 1/4MOA rifle - 1hr 15min.
I won't drop names because my guy is retired but a waiting list for a AR nonsense.
