Personally, I don't like "busy" reticles. However, ALL reticle choices really do come down to "personally". "Personally", I think that the "old" CH3 reticles, UNwisely discontinued by Nightforce, was the finest reticle ever designed for precision shooting. They replaced it with the NP-2DD, which is a good idea, however, they have the reticle-dots in the wrong place, i.e. upside down! So now I try, if at all possible, to get a crosshair with a 3/32nd dot in the middle. It is not "busy" yet gives me the precision I desire. It is NOT a CH3, however, it is the best design in it's place I can find.
I agree about the CH-3 reticle. Nightforce shouldn't have discontinued the CH-3. I have 2 BR series scopes with this reticle, and I was considering buying a new "higher power" variable target scope, but can't find a reticle that I like.
