whats the best bench priming tool?

I own the Bonanza (Forster) co-ax bench primer seater & the stainless Sinclair priming tool. The Forster is finicky & if not set up precisely (no shellholders but adjustable jaws) will short seat primers erratically. The Sinclair has the best feel of anything I've tried but entails handling the primers. It is however, a breeze to set up & use & has proven highly consistent. You can actually "feel" the seating process.

I cant imagine using anything but a hand held primer tool (Lee or its equal),,,they are fast ,convenient, reliable ,portable, and EZ to use,,,,I do most of my loading at the range but use the same tools at home also,,Roger

I guess when I said that I love mine I should have qualified why... I am a high power rifle competitor XTC (service rifles mostly), a Palma shooter, and I shoot midrange prone as well. So, for me, when I need to load for say a Palma match for the weekend, I need about 55 rounds done as quickly as possible on Thursday or Friday night. Or a 80 shot XTC match, I don't really have time to mess around with each step. I prime on my RCBS bench primer while my chargemaster is dispensing my powder charge. For my service rifle ammo that is shot at 200/300 yards I use my Dillon 550 to prime as I go on loading progressively. But, I use the bench primer for my 600 yard ammo as I use the chargemaster instead of throwing charges on the Dillon.
For me, speed is very important. I don't really enjoy loading ammo that much... I just like shooting really accurate ammo. So, there is really no way around it. I buy the best tools for speed and accuracy that I can afford. That sometimes means that there is a trade off. In this instance maybe feel is reduced with the RCBS bench but, it holds 100 primers and I can knock them out quickly and it seats primers very well indeed for me. I use it for anything that is shot 600 and over (or 300 slow prone as in a Fullbore match). I spent what I consider a stupid amount of money on the best electric case trimmer I could find because trimming 500 308 cases for our big March Madness month long prone matches is not something that I want to do for hours on end with my Wilson. If your a bench rest shooter then your likely going to want something that has as much precision as possible I suppose and you can adjust even more maybe. Buy the best tool for what you are loading for. After I broke my second Lee primer I said to hell with stuff that breaks. I just cant deal with that when I need to load.

When my old Lee hand primer with the round pan gave up, I bought the latest Lee hand primer.

Not a happy camper!

Then Lee had a deal where you could send in your old hand primer and get the new bench mounted primer for a discount. So, I bought one!

Wasn't too pleased at first, but finally figured out it's idiosyncrasies and now I am a happy camper.
It seats the primers very consistently and always completely. And, it is quick. It is easy to load once you figure out how to hold the pan and bite your tongue on the correct side of your mouth!
