Gotcha now, that’s what I was guessing. Not sure what you mean by backside.

That is nice. Thanks for chiming in on this thread.![]()
Yep, that’ll work.
I hollowed out the base under the wedge and added about 12oz of #9 shot in epoxy to give it a little more heft.

What diameter stock did you use for your holder? Do you like it or would you use a different size?
Thanks but I'm asking spike-55 about the holders for the Sinclair tool that he made.Inline Fabrication has a base for Forster bench prime
Derracco Engineering (maker of the Ugly Annealer) makes a primer that mounts on your press. It uses the flat style shell holders and the primer depth can be adjusted for consistency. The RCBS bench mounted tool also works well for bulk use.I'm already second guessing my decision on choosing the Frankford Arsenal Perfect Seat Hand Primer. The wife wants in on helping me and I think a bench mounted priming tool would work best for her. I really like the concept of using pick up tubes being able to do 100 at a time. What all are you guys using?
1 1/2 round stock works great. If you use 1 3/4 you have to offset bore the hole to allow for the lever to have full throw - really no big deal. Just was easier to mount in the lathe and bore out and then mill out the slot and drill the tap holes. Just FYI you will notice the pin that holds the lever is a little proud of the housing. I chose to bore bigger rather than to buff off the pin to perfect 7/8 size of the primer tool.Todd Criswell is his name. twcriswell@yahoo.com

Thanks, I appreciate the detailed info. I have both 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 in the shop already. I have tons of base material so I’m good there too. I was leaning towards the 1 1/2 and will probably go that way.1 1/2 round stock works great.
