I just mounted a Red Dot on my old 81 Remington 300 Savage. I used a Weaver base and mounted it on the rear sight holes. The screws are centered on the base and it seems to be holding fine. Got a few spots I want to use this rifle. Barlow

My 65# BamaBow Royal. Two does during early archery season. Donated the meat from the second one to a local group to feed those less fortunate than I.

700sa in 6.5x47 with 20" shilen #2 1-9 twist. 123 amax at 2850fps. Can get 3000fps but accuracy suffers some. Went to great pains to make it light as you can see from the receiver work. Sits in a b&c alaskan. Fire control via worked over old style remington. Sako extractor because i just like them better. Thinking i will do a side bolt release when a member here gets my fixture done. Bolt is kg black and barreled receiver is a mix of 3 colors i had left over from other rifles. Shoots 1/2moa or slightly better.

Sitting in the Missouri River bottoms about 50 feet from the banks, looking at a 48 acre timber surrounded by corn fields!! My wife and I are shooting our Remington 700 Senderos in 300 win mag with leupold vx3 6.5-20x50mmLR's ..210gr. Berger VLD with 77.8gr.Retumbo with a .15 jump.

Shot a buck opening day 199 yards and dropped in his tracks.

Shot a 6 pt with my 6.5 AI. Liked the shot so I took it. Then took two does at 220 yards with a 270. Followed that up with a does using my 6mm Rem 600 and then another with an XLR 30-30.

All 5 deer were DRT.

Started hunting for a giant rack and did see two without getting a shot. Wife fell off a ladder, got hurt and I came home from my Georgia camp. Hope to try again in January.

Believe it or not, 162gr Amax. I figured it was more or less a Ballistic tip; and, it was the most accurate bullet I have tried so far in the rifle.

Neck shot. Dropped like he had been poleaxed.
