what cartridge in a true heavygun br rifle ?

Jim I do have fun, if I wasn't I wouldn't have been shooting for almost 50 years! I think my rifles are tuned pretty good when ever i get in a relay with some of the top shooters, I'll hang in there or beat them. Love shooting against the best.

I am not sure everyone read the question.
I DO NOT WANT TO SHOOT A DASHER AS A HEAVY GUN
I want to shoot something different , bigger and heavier....what I WANT TO DO.
SO YES A 300 WSM FITS, anything else ?
anyone look at the 30prc or the 6.5 prc as a 600/1000 round ?
I got time to work on this and collect bits and pcs.
300 WSM has been proven as great heavy gun. Its my number 1 pick. You ask about a 6.5 prc never shoot one. I used a 6.5x284 with 140 VLD hunting bullets (Berger) as a Rookie to win score in heavy gun at 2011 Nationals. It is a 21 pound gun. I used a 300 WSM (65 pounds) in 2019 at the G.B.A. Nationals on 2 targets and on last target my Light gun in Dasher to win Heavy Gun score. The caliber is just a tool its up to the shooter to know his guns and loads, which one to shoot in the conditions he is shooting in. "MISSISSIPPI"

I seem to recall some dasher shooters getting blown off target at one the nationals(montana ?) but 30's staying on paper. as long as silly ibs rule that dq's misses, i'd like to have something bigger than a 6 on hand in heavy. looks like wsm is the answer, now to stir the pot, any reason to go up to 300 wm and a heavier bullet 230 250 ?
and thanks

This will happen with a WSM are 300 wm with heavy bullets if you shoot enough. I have seen hole replies blown off paper.

big and heavy ...compared to a lite 6 dasher or clone.... yes less than 25 is a good spot, looks like the 300 wm or 300 wsm is the winner . no 80 lb 6mm's for me, no 100 lb 375's either.
just 200-250 gr in a 30 cal in a 18-25 lb rifle.
Truly and honestly you ain't going to like what I got to say if you're not willing to go heavier and want to shoot a 30 caliber I personally don't think it'll work for you especially in a heavy gun shooting 10 shot groups.
