definitely need a shotgun, 12ga
and a rifle capable for moose or bear, which any of the WW1 era cartridges used by militaries were. 7x57, 8x57, 303, 30-06, 7,62x54, the 7x57 has been well proven to be capable of punching way above its weight class, so, take your pick.
