Getting softer in my old age or supporting the site where I'm my Doctorate in ammo crafting. As per my wife
My problem is I cant afford to implement all I've learned.
Play nice receive nice ! Looking forward to karma shinning on you !!!

One of those talisman pictures looks like it has a Hornady bullet in it. This concerns me if the casing is also Hornady. Due to the way the talisman's bail is mounted, it could blast out of the loose primer pocket at any time, and the talisman could be lost.
Norma brass
Norma, and Peterson only,,don't worry about it Shoebox,it's all good.

308 Winchester?

284 ?

30-06?

1911?

Any other (not so) sacred cows?

I have read this from one end to the other and for sure it proves one thing. The American people (and some from OZ) have short memories.
The guy that started all this hype stuff way before the Innertube, is laughing in his grave. His creation was the be all end all. It was THE BEST for everything from field mice to elephants. I give you Jack O'Connor and his 2 Sebendy (270) Winchester.
Show some respect. I haven't seen one mention of the 270.

Has his great design been surpassed by the 6.5 Creed Mower....said in a deep Southern accent?

Even Presidents have stepped in and hyped the Creed Mower when he said, "If you like your Creed Mower, you can keep your Creed Mower".

There was hype way before Jack O’Connor...

There was a lot of hype around the Newton (256 and 300); the H&H magnums, the 280 Ross, the 250-3000...and a host of others from even before WW1...

Then came the 270, 25 Neidner et al between the wars...

After WW2 it was the Magnum craze and the “Improved” idiocy...

There wasn’t the “insta-hype” from the Inner-tube but it was there. Few have survived. With few exceptions, None were really all that remarkable.

But they were the best thing since sliced bread.

Let’s just say I’ve seen a few sunsets, but I was alive in the 1960s and started reading the ‘gunzines’ and books about guns in 1965... read some historical books too...,more than a few had comments about the hype surrounding the stuff mentioned.
