Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Mike in Texas. I'm new to reloading. I'll be reloading for a 1x8 Ruger 223. My confusion is about c.o.a.l. Sierra shows a 69 grain and 77grain. with coal of 2.260. It seems that the bullets would be loaded very deep. How does that affect pressure? Thanks for your help.

Hello! New member to the forum have lurked a long time. I mostly do tactical precision shooting with a bolt rifle. Farthest out to 1361 yds so far on good ol BLM land. Looking to interact with a lot of you guys.

Hello fellow shooters,
My name is Bill C and I've been reloading both shotshell and center fire rifle ammunition for over 30 years for all my target and hunting needs. I won't claim to be expert here, but if you read my contributions they will be well founded and not exceed my experience.
Be safe,
Bill

Hello,
Thank you for allowing me to become a small part of the discussion here.
I have been a hunter and have done some small time competition shooting in the past.
Work took away my hunting and shooting time for several years but I am now retired and enjoying shooting again.
My two main pursuits are long range steel and coyote hunting.
I am hoping to merge the two somewhat with my latest rifle in 22-243 Middlestead.

Been lurking for awhile. Load mostly for the smaller caliber's. 22Br, 6Br, 6.5Br, 6.5 grendel, 6.5x47 Lapua, and the good ol' .223 rem. Mostly all long guns are built around the Savage Target Actions or AR platforms. Been reloading since the late 80's. Just retired from US Army couple years ago. Had a lot of fun reloading a 105mm, 155mm and 203mm. Redlegs will understand

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum. In fact it's my first forum ever. But I'm not new to reloading. I have enjoyed it for 45 years now. Which doesn't mean I don't have reloading problems anymore. As a matter of fact, my latest is with a new "used" rifle I recently bought. A Cooper model 38 in 17 FB. Out of a ten-shot group, I get 6 shots in 1 inch and 4 flyers that will enlarge the group to about 3 inches at 100 yds. I have tried a dozen different loads and powders, supposedly accuracy loads, including the one suggested by the previous owner who claims to never have had any problems with it. My next step will be to anneal the cases. I'm waiting for for my Vertex annealer to arrive. Does it sound familliar to anybody?

Hello everyone, Im new, just joined and looking to gain a lot of knowledge from here. Im in SC, active Army....not a sniper. I have trained as a Designated Marksman pre 9/11 so have some experience in long range precision shooting. I just started reloading about 2 months ago, so thats my passion. I have the obvious AR15/AR10 with a tone of brass used for target/training shooting. I load all my pistol (9mm, 10mm, 40, and 45 ACP) but my challenge is developing a precision long range load for my Remington 700 Long Range chambered in 300 WIN MAG. I want to get the best life of the brass and I have read a lot of these belted magnums and FL dies. I will be retiring in the next few years so hopefully I can nail down a good long range load before then.

Look foreword to learning here, thanks.

Tony

My Join Date is 6/2014, but today is actually the first time I've begun to use the forum.

For the last few years I've been shooting over 10k rounds/yr. 22LR, 9mm, 45ACP and 12ga each account for about 20% of the total. The remaining 20% are in 223 (AR15 and Bolt), 6mmAR, 308, and 30-06 at 100-300yds. I reload for all except the 22LR and 12ga (my shooting buddy does the shotshell for us). In the reloading process I've gone through 7 scales and 3 chronos . . . CED M2, MagnetoSpeed V1, and now LabRadar. While I've learned to love trap (maybe because the targets explode), the rifle reloading/precision shooting process interests me the most so I'll be watching the Reloading Forum hoping to learn and contribute from my experiences with equipment tried and (mostly) discarded lol.

Hi all- been reloading my 22-250 and 300 Winmag for about a year now. Joined the forum and picked up a borden action and barrel from a member. Waiting not so patiently for my stock! Tons of good info here!

Welcome All to the Forum. You have joined the best Forum available for shooters. I have never failed to get a question answered or problem solved.

I hope all have the same success.

Dennis

Mike here from North Dakota. I've been reloading with my dad since my teen years, and am now starting to acquire my own equipment. I've even passed him up a bit in the consistency of my ammo. I get better Extreme Spreads and Standard Deviations in velocity and lower runout in loaded cartridges. Yet somehow he still manages to shoot smaller groups than me. I guess I still have some catching up to do.

Hello to Everyone; I am new to this site and wanted to say Hi! I just bought a used Dillon RL 550 B with a bunch of xtras. I used to load years ago when I used to hunt, but now I just want to shoot more and not spend a fortune. Well best to you all USPatroit

Hello Guys, Haven't been here long, been reloading quite a while. I don't shoot any competition, just hunting rifles. I'm from central NY. I load for a number of rifles...from 220Swift-450Marlin

Greetings from the Left Coast...please don't hold that against me!!! I grew up in Michigan where I started with a .22 in a gun club in Saginaw. I have decided to get back into the shooting sports and I am currently researching a .308 build/purchase. As my wife doesn't "completely" realize the price of entry, I am will be interested in the discussions on the balance between cost and performance in optics and especially reloading to help lower costs.

I look forward to the opportunity to learn.

Steve
