Best time to do the floor is before moving ANYTHING in
It's a real pain when you have to move things around and pile them into one area to do something in another area, everything just takes so much longer to get done.
I used a water based epoxy, no smell and very hard wearing, I found out after I painted this section that a machinery dealer painted their floor with the same product and after 15yrs it still looks as good as the day it was finished.

My epoxy subcontractor told me repairing a floor with flake in it was near impossible without it sticking out. We do a lot of school facilities and use epoxy in restrooms and labs. He suggested a two color system for our office and I like it. It can be repaired easier than a flake system.

What is the brand of the epoxy?
Epotread 1000 is what I used on that section of floor, and I’ve also used Epotread H200
The H200 was awesome on a rough floor in cooler temps, if a floor had a lot of air bubbles I would recommend the H200 as a first coat put on quite thick, it will fill the lids and level out quite well, that’s what I found when I did the rough floor.
I’m also going to try the SL250 epoxy screed to level/repair an existing floor.

For lights?
I prefer the method of using two ladders strapped together with ratchet straps, with my oldest standing on the bottom. He serves two purposes; holding the ladder, and calling 911 if I fall.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!
You can usually get that done cheaper than doing it yourself.

I guess it's worth a call to the contractor that built it.
I rented a rolling scaffold for that. Remarkably cheap and effective.

If you need to wire anything I'm there. Drywall not so much, off course if you are providing the whisky then all bets are off...

Way easier and usually cheaper to have pros do ceilings. They will have it done while you are setting up the first ladder.
