With the right leadership it can bounce back. Hopefully that will happen. No doubt LaPierre needed to go. However, the NRA is one of if not the largest lobbying group. Let's hope this brings the NRA back stronger than ever.

Now gun owners that said they'd join the NRA if LaPierre resigned can step up and put their money where their mouths are.![]()
Wayne had lots of friends on the board, do they rinse and repeat?I hope they vet the next one with a lot more rigor and place much higher checks and balances in the system, but they won't see my money again till they share the truth or drain the swamp.
I keep asking myself, could this have happened if the others on the board and accounting were doing their jobs? Think of the damage done to the reputation of the organization as a direct result of this controversy.
One way or the other, it would have either prevented the question and controversy if the other executives and accountants could have clearly stated there were no ethics violations, or, if the allegations were proved it would have ended immediately with him being dismissed straight away.
I would vote for a complete evaluation of all the folks who were supposed to be watching WLP, not just him.
Had they been competent and WLP was innocent, the controversy would have ended with a strong defense to show this was just another baseless attack. So, the only conclusions we are left with is they were either complicit or incompetent.
A clear accounting is expected in any organization like this one and this should have ended within a business quarter, not dragged out for years.
This isn't a for-profit corporation job, this is position that the candidate accepts with the responsibility to the constitution of the organization.
Best Wishes for the recovery, but as a Life Member, I feel betrayed by more than just WLP.
I don’t think he can even own a firearm, can he? Doesn’t he have some assault charges from back in the day? He recently tried to get them expunged, but wasn’t successful.I nominate Mark Wahlberg to replace that worthless POS LaPierre.

Exactly. What were they watching?I keep asking myself, could this have happened if the others on the board and accounting were doing their jobs?
I think you may have something there my friend.the board is still infected.
George Soros..........About freaking time. Now who will the board hire? Let's see what they come up with.
Corruption runs deeper than one person,With the right leadership it can bounce back. Hopefully that will happen.
