Wax on, or wax off....the Karate kid wants to know....

Ask Ten people ; and you'll get Ten different answers .
Why would anyone say "NOT" to lube the neck & shoulder area ?
I Lube the entire case ; Neck & Shoulder area ; because it goes into a Bushing . Think about it for a moment . Why would you push a brass tube ( neck ) into a bushing to re-size it , without lubing it ? Afraid that there's to much lube on it ? That it will affect the size ? Or do you just like taking your Dies apart to clean them , and remove the brass dust & chips left behind ?
And for what it's worth ; my S/D runs from 4.2 to 6.4 on average ; and ironically I even get some 12 to 13 S/D's which also translate to 197 - 198 scores . But I do get consistent .307 inside neck diameters , after running the expander , so I think whatever I'm doing is working .
Was forced into buying the Hornady "Unique Case Lube" when the brand I used was out of stock and not available for awhile , and I liked the way it went on , very thin coating , and didn't seem to have any negative affect on neck , shoulder , or diameter . I'm still using it ; some four years later .

I have used Imperial for many years, lubing the entire case very lightly and have never had a single dented case. I don’t understand the “no lube on the neck” thought. The many people that use spray lube, get it all over the entire case, so why would you be concerned with getting a light layer of Imperial on the neck, or the shoulder.
