Vudoo V22S SS BR/F Class Action

Ranger - I bought a Sightron SIII 45x45 for my V-22S a little more than a year ago, and was pretty pleased with it. However, I kept looking at their SV line, and eventually got a SVSSED 10-50x60TD and mounted it. It was brighter even at 50x than the 45x45, which is to be expected, with the 60mm objective. I've never compared the image quality on a side-by-side basis, but the SV's ED glass is very clear and sharp. The feature that really convinced me to try the SV though, was the geared parallax - it's the Rolls Royce of parallax, especially when compared to the usually stiff parallax knobs on all the SIII Sightrons I've owned & still own.

I shot with it on the V-22S for a bit, although weather & work combined to keep me from shooting as much with it as I perhaps would've liked. Finally moved it over to a BAT 3L action on my LR BR 6 Dasher, where it replaced a SIII 8-32x56 that I've been using in our club's BR Varmint Silhouette matches, thinking that sort of shooting would benefit more from the easily adjusted parallax & bright, clear optics. I put the SIII 45x45 back on the V-22S, but have considered going with a SIII 10-50x60 similar to what it looks like you have on your rifle. Hopefully, I'll have more time to shoot both BR VS with the SV & 22RF BR with the 45x45 this spring, and will be able to decide whether to upgrade from the 45x45 or leave well enough alone... Would appreciate feedback from you on how well you get along with the scope on your Vudoo.

I am still waiting on my Cliff Arnold rest and I will finally start putting rounds through mine. Not to mention it is still winter in my parts and its a balmy 15 degrees and pretty windy. Spring is approaching.

You are correct Sir I have a Sightron SIII SS 10-50x60 LR FCH mounted. Its my first Sightron and hoping I like it.

looks amazing ,you have patience .I was so happy to get mine I pre ordered my ezell and when rifle got to me I put tuner on ,sighted it in before match and shot it

Curious what spring the 22S is shipping with? Mine shipped with the Grey when Vudoo shipped in Feb 2021 (not 100% up to speed with the colors /lbs).

My V22s shipped (July '21) with the gray spring installed, and have not changed it out yet. I did remove all of the gray paint from the spring to eliminate the possibility of paint flaking off and causing issues. Your rifle should have included a bag of FP springs color coded to indicate the different weights in #'s. Paper inside the bag has the details about what color is what strength.

Boy its been awhile since anyone posted. Hope all are well.

So finally my V22s barreled action arrived along with the stock, I get it tough times not complaining on the wait. Mr. Randy Owens knocked it out of the park with his bedding and meticulous attention to detail. Thank you very much Mr. Owens at ROTex Stocks / Precision Woodcrafting.

While the build is not 100% / ready to shoot as I am waiting on my rings and glass to arrive in the coming weeks. Couple pics are attached.

Couple of things.
1. I am going to follow up with Mr. Ezell in regards to the subject matter in posts 199, 200 and 202 and get the tuner squared away now that barrled action is in-hand and measurements can be obtained.

2. While the action and Flavio FCG so far feel amazing I am disappointed with the cosmetics / appearance of the V22s action its self. I chose stainless finish on the action and barrel, no coating. I assumed the action would have been polished but to my amazement its not. Perhaps its me but its not quite what I expected as far as the finish goes. While the pics are not 100% perfect you can see the action needs some more TLC. I plan on polishing the action a bit. So I am asking for some advice. Compound, buffing and a little polish good to do the job? I am only concerned with the exterior of the action / body and bolt handle and knob.
Nice rig, But I agree with you about the action looking... Well rough, But man do I want one!

I have been lurking, looking, and lusting. I concur that the tumbled appearance of the action detracts from the overall appeal. I know the looks don’t hurt the performance. I also know that I would rather dance with a pretty girl.

The appearance grows on you. I don't even notice it anymore. Not a single person at a RF match has said anything about just the appearance of the action. I do get compliments on my V22-S but not a single person has asked/questioned the appearance of the action.
