There are two things; He just produced a 20VT for me and another one would be the identical twin. And, a friend gave me over 700 rounds of 20 Practical reloads. All with VV133 powder and 32 grain Vmax.
Well it kinda sounds like you've already got your mind made up and you're maybe just looking for a little extra nudge so if it helps put your mind at ease, yes, I 100% think you should go ahead and have a 20 Practical built, 100%!!!!
It's ok, I sometimes need a little extra reassurance from others to justify my builds to myself, too.
As a gunsmith friend of mine always tells me, there are worse things you can spend you money on. lol
you need to have both calibers as they are both awesome for prairie rats and they are both inherently accurate.
You can form .223 brass into both calibers which has been fun for me and the least expensive. I have two 20 practicals
and one 20VT...I think I will always own at least one of each...they are that fun!![]()
My load for the 20VT is 18.0 grains of H4198 with 32gr. v-max. I use 24.0 grains of RL10X with 40gr. v-max in
one 20practical and 22.5 grains of the same powder in the other with the same 40gr. v-max. I'm getting 3850fps.
in one 20prac. and 3625fps. in the other. They are both very accurate...you will be glad to have at least one of each.![]()
I didn't know you could form 20Vt from .223 brass
my vote.........20-222.............![]()
Love my VarTarg! Hated the 204Ruger parent rifle. got to hot to fast.
Vartarg, suppressed of course!

my vote.........20-222.............![]()
