What a great little cartridge, and some fine shooting on your part! I need to stop reading about this or it's going to cost me money. Lol20 VT:
These are 40 VMax's, CFE BLK, CCI 400s, LC brass turned but not yr sorted @ 3400 fps.
Rifle is blue printed 700 and X Caliber 11T, 3 groove.
40s thrive PD'n at 100-300 but I'll stretch them out to 400 occasionally rather than switch to 223. I have couple 1000 32's to try this year for the VT.

Have you decided on what action you will, preferWhat a great little cartridge, and some fine shooting on your part! I need to stop reading about this or it's going to cost me money. Lol

Remember - one can also make VT brass from .223 brass - same parent cartridge as 20P.I'm itching to build a 20VT for efficiency and lower recoil. Just for 50-300 yard varmints and plinking. BUT the brass issue has me leaning towards a 20P.
This is why I have forming dies and 2,000 extra 223 cases in my reloading room.Remember - one can also make VT brass from .223 brass - same parent cartridge as 20P.
Yes - and for those with time on their hands, going all out on brass prep can turn "so-so" brass into some pretty good shooting stuff. This is why I have forming dies and 2,000 extra 223 cases in my reloading room.
I dont have to rely on anybody for brass.

Rick, I agree, at 100-300 yds I still see an explosive effect, but at 400 yds the VT is basically poking a hole in the PD. That’s why I’m working on a new project in a 20P. Right now I’m in the load development phase. I thought I had a good powder chosen with N133, but I kept having bridging problems with the 550 Dillon powder funnel.
487yds on 32gr bullets- out of 1-11” twist-22”350yds so far…for the 39BK…& ..Nosler 40BT..

Wow ! that is a great site. Thanks for the pointer. I'll discuss "precious metals" investing with my planner.Whiskey Tahoe Foxtrot, go to White Oak Armament website
For the moment, AR compatible 20 cal whether 204 or 20p. Probably go 20P for my first 20.^^^ McGowen offers a 204 and 20P on their site..... Shilen has 204...X-Caliber shows 204, 20T, 20P
