You guys dont let Mckinney bring you down to his level!! Let him keep supporting Vortex. He will just keep posting ....kinda like a hemroid it just keeps coming back.

Keep up those salesman skills!! Lol!! @$%&@$$
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You are a piece of work.

Quality is in the eyes of the beholder, If it suits you then go with it. It sems like a fairly decent scope for the price and the warranty. I have had Leupolds for years and have no complaints. I broke the eye piece off a 3X9X40 when pull up rope broke . I described exactly what happened they returned the scope and to my amazement was abrand new scope no charge. My opinion if you can afford the higher priced scopes then there is no comparison.

I attended a shooting school in March, they had Vortex spotting scopes for us to use. They were not good from an optic stand point. I have a cheap Burris that has better optics than the ones we were using. The rifles had 5.5X22 Night force scopes that were better for spotting. I was not impressed with Vortex as far as spotting scopes go. I also have a Ziess spotting scope but I use the Burris for a day pack scope because of weight.

vortex ???
Whats the history of this brand ?they have their own factory ? they made all their products in a first world nation ?
I dont like new scope brands
Vote LEUPOLD

Thanks anyway. I appreciate the response.
I ended up buying a Rogue River super scope. Haven't had a chance to use it yet,, still too much rain.

Vipers much better in lowlight. That is why I switched. Worth extra 10-15 min at the end of the day. Worth it for that advantage alone.

Not questioning the quality of a Vortex scope, but it's very difficult for me imagine how a company can have a "better warranty", than Leupold. Lifetime, for whoever owns the scope, no questions asked. Sounds like more sales B.S., and makes other claims suspect.
Not better, but equal to. My experience with Vortex is excellent. Replaced the first Vortex I bought with another new one. NO HASTLE WHAT SO EVER. NO COST TO ME.
