Vortex Golden Eagle parallax ?

I have to readjust my parallax after each shoot on my F-TR .308 rifle. When I shoot everything goes fuzzy. I adjust the parallax to get a sharp image and shoot and everything goes fuzzy again. Is this normal?

Not with mine. Two of my shooting buddies that bought theirs before I did haven't mentioned anything like this to me and we shoot together all the time.

Might be Barrel heat, try a mirage shield or fold an old target over the barrel like a tent and see if there's a difference.

I think that's a good decision Bill, - BTW I use to live on Campina Drive there in La Mesa back in the 80's when I was in the Navy.

I've never had that issue with the GE. My side focus on a Gen 1 Razor stopped working once when I moved it to a different gun. I had torqued the rings to 26 inch pounds thinking that wasn't to much. Vortex said 18inch lbs when I called them for repair info. After retorqueing it worked fine again. It did seem funny to me that so little difference made it not work. I've never encountered that before with other scopes.

Shot a match this morning with my Golden Eagle and no issues like you describe. Once parallax set it was fine for whole 20 shot string.

Is your parallax very easy to adjust? Sounds like the friction that keeps the parallax set has come loose. alternatively, is infinity on the knob still correspond to infinity? Either way, likely a loose setscrew in the works somewhere. Vortex should turn it around quickly.

Absolutely not normal. If you've ever fired another rifle with a different scope you already knew the answer to your question.

Call vortex. They'll have a new scope on your doorstep within a week. If you bought it locally, you can go to the local dealer and have them contact Vortex. Many times Vortex will credit the dealer the retail value to give you a new one off the shelf if they have it in stock. Asking us about an obvious issue with the scope is just wasting time. Call Vortex and spend this time on the range with a new properly functioning optic

300 yards going to work on my seating depth. It was going good till the mirage got so bad I was under 20X to see the rings.

I Zeroing new scope at 100 yards I just wanted to see what it shoot at 300 yards. .308 43.4 grains of Varget CBTO of 2.95 inches. I an going to adjust the CBTO from 2.90 to 2.30 in .02 steps .90,.92 .94 .96 .98 .30
