Video camera for F Class

Doe anyone video their match? Wanting to put a small camera on my scope stand to video my match. Then I can review the flags for each shot I made later on.

Any one use a GOPRO or any thing like this?

Might want to have some one do it from the rear of the firing line, or set up your apparatus behind the line? It might conflict with the rule for no electronic devices on the firing line; although it's a given you would not be realizing any aid to your immediate shooting.

The 2014 BSWN F/TR winner, Radoslaw Czupryna, used to put a camera up alongside his firing point to record his string for later review. Seems to have worked for him... ;)

I use a camcorder on Wednesday's to record the shoot.
At 60x, it records mirage and you can even see the vapour trail.
The model that iI use is a Panasonic HV 250 ( I think that is the model). It films in wide screen high definition and has a 90x mag. You can also connect it to your tv at home and watch it at home. The target appears big.
Because I shoot sling and irons most days, I also use it to record my position, muzzle recoil pattern and trigger pull techniques.

I have used a small camcorder to record my shooting for a few years. Mine is only MiniDV so not HD like the poster above. I use it to record the shot location based on the markers the target pullers put on the target. It works reasonably well but the down side is when you are shooting at the 600 yards range, you are always dealing with significant mirage and when you combine this with the less than stellar optics, the image quality is not the best. A lot of these camcorders have high magnification but that is deceiving as you are not looking through high quality glass or even photographic or quality scope glass. Just like scopes, you get what you pay for.

Maybe I misunderstood what the OP wanted to record... what I described was the camera being set up to record the *shooter* executing the shot, not the shot going down range or the target.

I am wanting to get the range flags in the video. That way I can go back and see what conditions were when I took the shot. I record my scope settings for my shots unless I am quick firing for a good condition.

That way when I miss call a shot, I can go back and review to see what condition I missed and also for cause and effect.
