I've done plenty of transactions with just a check and they have went great.Man you do you and I will have alot less B.S
GreatI'm glad for you. I hope to never use a check again, and a fax machine.
Did you use a gel or otherwise unwashable pen? If not, it could easily be washed and rewritten.I recently had a money order stolen within the USPS for a transaction on this site, name and address changed in the To: column, then cashed. The copy I received back from USPS inquiry looks like a professional job… not sure how they pulled it off but looks like I’m screwed. USPS has been giving me the runaround for weeks. I’ve gone through all the proper channels and it’s now a waiting game. I’ll never do it again unless my family’s life depends on it. This is slowly forcing us to take electronic payments, etc to avoid risking the loss of our hard earned money. Think about it…. “Mark of the Beast” ….. beware folks!!! it’s coming!!!
If you use F&F and they're NOT your friends or family and you lose your $$$, "you get what you deserve"!! You're no better that the folks that got your $$$.That's why you don't use F&F with people who aren't F&F. Pay the fee if you want that type of protection.
I was told the opposite, if it was cashed by anyone besides the payee I would receive a refund in 90 days. they even provide a link to all the cashier checks so I could monitor and see if it was cashed. They once told me if it was just lost and no one cashed it in 90 days they would refund it but if anybody cashed it I was shit out of luck
I always insist on regular PP because of the protection it provides I even offer to pay the fees.If you use F&F and they're NOT your friends or family and you lose your $$$, "you get what you deserve"!! You're no better that the folks that got your $$$.

This! The post office will happily take your cash to buy a money order, yet they won't cash one of their own. And if they lose the money order after you mail it, it's like pulling teeth to get reimbursed. Money orders are a one way street with USPO.Cashed at a PO, my PO always says I have to take m.o. to a bank? This has happen after I just paid cash for a m.o. of higher value than I try to cash. So I know they have the money?
