USPS Complaint Thread

My electric bill was 3 weeks late I had to pay a late fee (covid grace period had expired). I'm switching everything to online billing because I can longer trust the USPS and it's costing me a money in penalties and late fees.

Yep. Online billing saves time & $$$. I switched over about 2 years ago and love it.

Went to the post office this morning to send another member here a money order cost me 5 bucks to get a tracking number for it and I was scared not to get it. Had them run tracking number on a muzzle brake that I sent my gunsmith in the west edge of NC just across the Tenn line on the 7th and it's been sitting in Fayetteville NC since the 9th. 3 day select!!! I don't know what the hell we're going to do... John

The truly exasperating, annoying part is paying for services that you do not receive. Two or three day day guaranteed delivery comes with a price. When that delivery does not happen, ask for a refund. All you will get is the postal stare. Tracking numbers for USPS are a joke.

I here yeh ,if it is going to take two weeks don't charge us for two days. Come on usps

There's a very good reason for this; Covid considered.

UPS, Fedex, and DHL are thriving in this environment. USPS is floundering. Why?
I think my dad had the answer. He was a 40 year retired Postal employee, who would defend the Postal service against all naysayers. But, before he retired, he said "This damn place is becoming a jobs program for the Democrats."

You will definitely find some good folks in the Postal Service, but it's getting difficult.

About a month ago I shipped some ammo (legally). I had to drive 40 miles to a UPS ground shipping facility. When I got there the clerk in the small retail office told me they were only open from 7-10 a.m. It was 10:15. But she helped me with all three of my packages, helped me with the computer, and found change for my cash. It took about twenty minutes. I thanked her profusely. She said "No sir. Thank you for your business."

That little scene would never...ever...have played out in a USPS facility.

Wow, glad I saw this thread.

Small envelope Package shipped priority mail from USPS in Michigan, to me in OKC - in mid Feb.

Had tracking number, and oddly the package never showed movement, even as recent as last night - but then I saw this thread that encouraged me to file a complaint online. I did this last night.
Low and behold, this morning I recieve a text that says the package has arrived at the distribution center in OKC.

huh...

well, I shipped a spotting scope to a forum member on 2/22/21, he still has not got it as of 3/4/21. USPS said in is in transit but arriving late. I went to the PO and talked to a supervisor and they said due to the weather problem two weeks ago in the Mid-West the packages are back up in a certain hub and they are holding the package until this hub catches up. Is the USPS that messed up from the weather?

I mailed a USPS Money Order from Ohio to Essex, MO on 1/22/21 in Transit, arriving late. No other movement on 3/4/21. Finally filed a claim yesterday. Lets see what happens now.

I bought 200 rounds of 6.5 PRC Nosler brass from an individual that lives about 4 hours from me, he shipped the brass through USPS. When I tracked the package it had left Lake Jackson to Houston then to San Antonio(which is 30 minutes from my residence) and on to Portland, Oregon. That was on February 27, so I stopped by the Post Office to inquire about the package yesterday. The gal at the counter told me that more than likely it has been lost and no one knows when it could arrive. The seller is putting in a claim today.

I should have just drove the 4 hours to get the brass.

Look's like the member will be getting his package tomorrow. Mailed on 2/22/21 received 3/8/21. I think putting a tracer on the package helped with the problem of getting it moving.
