Remington 700 Identification (Help Please)

I have a Remington 700 action I acquired awhile back. It was tucked away in the back of my safe and it didn't have a bolt. Well, thanks to this forum, i posted a wanted ad for a bolt and new one is on the way!! I'm soo excited, I get to have Longrifles, Inc build me out something cool with it, YAY!!!

Okay, onto my question now, The serial number starts with an F and has 7 digits after it. Unfortunately I dont have the barrel to accurately date it but Im curious if there is a way to get somewhat close or just get a better idea of what action I have... ie. the good era I hear about.

Can anyone chime in or send me a PM with some help.

B prefix-late 70's
C prefix-late 80's

I have a couple of Remington 700 Actions I'd like to find out the date of manufacture. I know the Remington Society posts build dates of their rifles based on the barrel serial numbers, but how do I find the build dates for just the 700 actions? Thank you.
