Took my ISSF .223 URM build for the second time to the range to zero a new Sightron S8 scope. Loaded several rounds with different AR Comp loads and Berger 77 OTMs to shoot a few 5 shot groups at 100 yards. Shot a decent group with 22.4 grains:

Nosler 77 RDF and AR Comp out of my 7tw URM barrel chambered with the ISSF reamer will hang tight on 6x6 steel and clay birds at 850. Had a few narrow misses, 3 to be exact out of 20 rounds.
My 100 yard 5 shot group checking zero was small also.
My 8tw. URM .223 shoots great. It's only had a steady diet of 53vmax. I'll be banging pdogs with it early next month.

Yup, these suckers really shoot well. Another great thing is the wait time is short compared to getting barrels from other places. Well so far anyway. The negative of these barrels getting too popular is the wait time has to go up.

I am a rookie and can't post groups as tight as the pros on here But....My 223 7 twist ISSF is Rocking! I got it mainly to shoot 85.5 Bergers at my new 600 yard range but discovered it will really sling the 53 Vmax as well ! Just back from a dream of a PD shoot in Wyoming--I shot a truck load of dogs and had my best to date long shot at 661 yards. Well pleased with my new pipe Thanks
Here are pix of my 53g load 24.5g N133 and my 85.5 g Berger with 24.3g of Varget--seating depth on the Berger proved anything between .025 and .040 off Worked great

I have 2 of these barrels. One in 223 the other 223AI. I did the barrel break-in bullets he offers. Not sure if they helped but they certainly did not hurt. They are the most accurate rifles I have and I have barrels that were fitted by a well-known smith from almost every major barrel maker that don't shoot better than these.

One is a Remington 700 I bought from Midway stripped with a PTG bolt. The other is a Christensen I bought stripped from J&A and used a PTG bolt on it as well.

Well...I have been living with my new 7 twist 223 with ISSF chamber for a couple of months--so far--it has been a really great purchase--I bought it to shoot the 85.5 Bergers at my new local 600 yd range--It started out less than half MOA with that bullet right off the bat- and has improved after seating depth was adjusted-- Then I took it to WY prairie dogging over Labor Day--It was blistering with a 53g Vmax load developed special for that trip--got home started playing around with some old loads from my last barrel--I had about 200 40g Vmax loaded for that last one and man! It has been one ragged hole with that load!
It has changed my thoughts on twist rates and what they will actually do. The only bullet that has been tricky is the 75 ELDM--now that one is really depth sensitive--I can't get it to fit the mag and be happy so thinking maybe a Wyatts bottom metal setup so I can get the length I need and still use in in a mag--I knew I had to single load the 85.5 but hoping to get everything else running in a mag

This gun has a Urbanrifleman barrel 1:8 twist Wilson on a XP100 REMAGE with barrel nut , 6BR , 30.5 gr of Varget and 65 gr Diablos bullets , .003 into rifling , with .001 Neck tension . shot on 12/4/2023 This is first target after fireforming Brass . And I know I can get the groups down smaller . All 5 shot groups at 100 yds .
