Love my savages. Everyone shoots .5 or better. Not bad for $150 back in the dayHere is my Urbanrifleman 22 Creedmoor barrel in action at 500 yards.
And yes, it is one of those "POS" Savage actions.... (Note the sarcasm)
Nosler 77gr BTHP Match bullet.
Note: These were rounds 6-15 on this brand new barrel.
Yep, I agree with your assessment of Brad being a good guy. 2 days ago I had sent him a messag and 2 minutes later he called me on the phone and we discussed my new barrel. I ended up going with the 22 creed in a 24" heavy varmint, 8 twist. I'm going to be shooting the 75 gr. ELDM bullet and when we finished on the phone, I got it ordered up online and I'm really looking forward to working up my new load.Base rifle is a Savage model 10 that started life as 6.5 Creedmoor from Cabela’s. Talked with Brad at Urbanrifleman about a new barrel for it and decided to go with a 22 Creedmoor. Turn around time was extremely fast. The quality of the workmanship is top notch. Brad is extremely helpful and will spend time with you. The build was a little bit challenging due to the fact I wanted to use the factory AccuStock since it had a bedded aluminum block. The issue was I had to use the factory recoil lug, since it is smaller and different shape than a standard aftermarket recoil lug. Once I got that figured out, it went together well.
Taking it out tomorrow to get it sighted in and dong a barrel break in.
