URBANRIFLEMAN 22-250 Ackley

Virgin .466" at the .200" mark up from bottom of case head.
Once fired .466.5 to .467"

We'll see how this works out in the future. Even ran through a Redding body die, case head diameter doesn't size down any further, nor does it feel like it's "trying to".

For reference a box of Hornady 55gr SP (50 rounds) case heads in same spot measure .464" Virgin

Why would there be an issue?

I just wrote up a quick review on your website. I appreciate you. Thanks for the great work and insane turn around times. Nobody else is that quick. Once, more guys start buying your barrels............you may slow down a bit. Haha

Thank you so much!!!

I just got a load of unturned blanks in 22/8 twist. These are the ones I use to make the big bull barrels.

22 XC. Urbanrifleman barrel, straight 1.062 to muzzle, threaded, 1/2x28 for
silencer. This barrel shooting awesome groups, 5 rounds each. #2 group on
the red target.
Final work up, 38.3 grs. H4350, 75 gr. Hornady ELD-M, 22 cal. One time out
on p-dogs, awesome.
Brad was very helpful on why I went with a 22 XC.

No load workup... he copied my R16 load... hahaha That is pretty awesome. :)

BTW he used the Tubb break in kit and HE told me that he was very pleased about how easy and effective it is.

I think folks are missing this 22xc, it really is super easy.

Of course, I think a lot of these cartridges are so similar that they are kind of "in the noise". The 75 ELDM was real good Pdog splody too. Yayyy!!!!

Formed another 50 rnds yesterday. Boringly accurate on rocks at 589 yards. My Dad was watching through the spotter..... These barrels hammer. My fireform load of 38.3gr Staball under Hornady 75gr HPBT bulk was averaged 3195 FPS with an SD of 6. Other than some switchy winds......pretty much stacked an easy 1/2 minute group at 589. Shooting prone off an MDT Cyke Pod.

Lots of good options...22creed....XC....GT.....

Ackley.....

The fact I had 600 virgin cases of 22-250 Lapua......made the 250 Ackley easy choice for me.
Plus....I like Ackley's!!

I'm a believer in his barrels, his Smith work, and his business ethics. Hopefully by no later than early May I'll have my next barrel from Bradley, in 6br.

You guys are really too kind. Thank you so much. Really. It made my day. :)
What do you do when daylight savings time messes with your sleep schedule?

Order another barrel from Brad at the urbanrifleman.

Just placed an order for a 1/8twist 223 Ackley 26" Heavy bull 1.080" Savage Prefit for my other ARC Nucleus 2.0.

It seems your barrels can't shoot a bad group. I got some screamers in formed brass so far with my first attempt with 75 eld match in that 250 Ackley.

I think you could probably shoot anything sub 1/2 minute in this barrel.

Thanks again Brad. The varmints are calling here and I'm happy I'll have identical rifles setup with Urbanrifleman Ackley's.
