Urbanrifleman 22 Creedmoor build

Base rifle is a Savage model 10 that started life as 6.5 Creedmoor from Cabela’s. Talked with Brad at Urbanrifleman about a new barrel for it and decided to go with a 22 Creedmoor. Turn around time was extremely fast. The quality of the workmanship is top notch. Brad is extremely helpful and will spend time with you. The build was a little bit challenging due to the fact I wanted to use the factory AccuStock since it had a bedded aluminum block. The issue was I had to use the factory recoil lug, since it is smaller and different shape than a standard aftermarket recoil lug. Once I got that figured out, it went together well.
Taking it out tomorrow to get it sighted in and dong a barrel break in.

In the interest of adding info for others that may want to use his barrel (22CM w.080” freebore). It would be great to hear what bullets you’ve chosen and what overall lengths you found with those bullets seated to touch lands. If not touching lands how far off you may have loaded them.

These were at .005 jump to the lands.
I shoot all single shot setups so OAL is not important to me.
Thank you! Could you provide the OAL just for reference? I’m just compiling what people are using so I and others have a reference to what the different bullets OAL lengths are to freebore dimensions to help in picking a particular freebore over another. The 22CM is lacking a bit of info compared to other more established cartridges.

Brad is the man, he is very helpful and amazing turn around times. I have gotten three barrels from him in the last two months. 2 in 6xc and one in 22xc. I will keep an eye out to see your results.

The info for this cartridge is limited.
I would be happy to provide an OAL when I get back home tomorrow.

Great to see this thread. I have a 22-250AI barrel in the cart with him and just getting ready to order soon. I will look forward to getting it, to be used on a short action Savage and then a ZA Origin action later.

You shoot that 22xc? I bet you're going to love it. 22xc is my first choice.

I have to enter this conversation if only to say that Brad has to be one of the finest people on the planet. I recently ordered a 22 Creedmoor barrel from him and have honestly not been this excited in quite a while. Brad was right there to answer my questions and has been an absolute delight to speak with!

Anyway, 22vartag, enjoy that rifle. I am certain after all I’ve read, and through conversations, that I will be as satisfied as virtually every other person I’ve read about that purchased a barrel from Brad!

That is much too kind.

I admit, I love to hear my customers get excited. I really love it. It's really cool to know that sometimes I can help turn on that lightbulb in others. Get them to think for themselves.

My company philosophy is I'm here to make my customers HAPPY. Not sell them stuff. Happy people will be return customers. :)

I was able to get back out with a new scope on the rifle and shoot some test groups. Very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the barrel. Thanks again Brad for all your help in making this happen. Truly appreciate it. It will be a shooter and a half just need to do some final load development.
