Update!!! LabRadar problems IPhone 12

Drewel

F-class / Freedom Benchrest shooter
I have been having several problems with my lab radar. Of the problems I’ve been having was communication problem with the app. I’ve had a few emails back-and-forth with the app tech-support.

If I understand correctly the new iPhone will not communicate with the lab radar. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Or am I doing something wrong?

I want to Thank Keith for the tip on the SD card. I changed it. I finally got to the range Saturday and the Radar performed flawlessly.

I am thinking my lowly CED is still worth using after reading some of these posts. Sure hope you get it sorted out.

Don’t get me wrong, this LabRadar has been contrary at times. But since I bought the sight and the trigger, it has worked good. I have never shot the rod off the sunshade like it’s possible with other chronographs. It’s very easy to aim in to set up.
It just won’t talk to me now :D

Works just fine with mine ?

I have been using my LabRadar with an Iphone 10 for several years, and it works GREAT. The iphone app is SO MUCH better than the pushbuttons on the face of the Labradar, and I don't have to get up from my seat to push the buttons. It has been super reliable.
When I read this post, I realized that I had not used my Labradar since I got my iphone 12 pro, so I dug out the labradar, set it on my desk at home and powered it up. I then opened the app on my phone, and went to Devices Manager, and clicked on the labradar. It connected, downloaded my data , and it works normally. I can open a new string, arm and disarm, and look at data. So I suspect it is working OK.

So, I contend it works fine with an Iphone 12 pro.

That’s interesting..... I hope I don’t have other issues going on...... Thank you for your response!!!!!

I like the LR but the bluetooth connection is so frequently interrupted as to render it useless. Happens on my android and iOS devices.

Same here. No issues with IPhone 12 and LabRadar.

I wouldnt even know how to use the buttons ive ONLY used an iphone to communicate with mine once the bluetooth version was in my hands.

I found that my Labrador is unreliable on my iPhone when I have too many saved strings on the card.

when I removed them, it started working well. I guess the connection is timing out due to the long transmission for so many strings...

just a thought,

Thanks. I will give that a try!!!

Bluetooth has not worked for me. The same problems happen on any device I use. I've tried different phones (android, apple, etc) and different tablets.

I can connect to the LR, but it will disconnect whenever it feels like it and you'll not be able to reconnect without rebooting the LR.

Seems this is a common problem. Some units work, some dont. The ones that dont aren't worth trying to fix.

If you are at the same location and having bluetooth issues across many devices and platforms, perhaps it’s bluetooth interference.

I'm in a location without cell service. I doubt there's anything there causing that much interference.

This is a common and well known problem.
