Traveling out west to Montana?

Our daughter tried to talk my wife and I to retire in Texas, after I did my research on Texas Taxs vrs Montana even with the state tax there was no way it made more sense to move to Texas because of taxs, maybe if your in a higher taxed state it does.
My daughters had a toll tax sticker on her car when lived in DFW here bill was 300.00 a month.
Yes our public employees don't know what difficult or hard times are. Your elected officials the same. They don't give a s___ about your welfare.

I’ll put it this way. I’ve been in Texas for 6 years. In 4 more years, my Texas house will be “paid off” with the saving of not paying the Delaware income tax.
Oh, and Delaware just reassessed the property taxes. I’m paying about the same in Real Estate taxes in both states, now.
I get it, Delaware has high taxs its just when I figured out what I pay in Montana vrs Texas it was more in Texas im sure that's why you see alot more people moving to Montana from Texas.

I know Texas property tax is about 1.8- 2.0 % of your property depending on county. The house i live in currently my property tax is about 3,000 a year same value in Texas would be about 8,000.
And I've got 1600.00 in rebates last 3 years so really its avg 2500.00

How does that work when you go back to your home state and you register the vehicle and get title put in your name. First thing they ask is how much did you pay for it?

Yeah, but what’s thier income tax?
Is this accurate?

…so if you live in Montana, they take 5.9% of ALL your income.
This is why I moved to Texas. “Tax free” Delaware was taking 6% of our income and I’m surrounded by Woke people.
We left Texas for Montana nearly 5 years ago and our state income tax is a fraction of the 8.25% sales tax on nearly everything we paid in Texas. Property taxes are lower too.

You tell them or they will put a price on it themselves. Just the sales tax on the truck i was gonna buy in Texas was gonna be 3,000.00 dollars for a 36,000.00 truck.
Then I would have to have paid registration, title and tabs in Montana.
After its 10 years old you pay a 1 time permanent fee in Montana, there is no sales tax on vehicles in Montana

In MN if vehicle is over 10 yrs old, no matter the cost no sales tax.

Wyoming taxes every single thing. They tax your thoughts, your happiness, your birthday, they bleed you white. So don’t move there. Go to Montana. Or Texas.

Oregon is no utopia, but for a disabled vet, we get one lifetime license plate on what ever vehicle we choose for free. And no upcharge for buying a new vehicle, no matter the age, it's always the same $126 for two years.

Of course for about 50 years it was $25/year until the Dims completely took over.
