Yep, did my roof at the end of September. Still have to tuck & point the chimney, but at 2500 SF and only $2500 in materials, I'm feeling happy about it. When I stripped off the front, it filled my trailer to the brim. Took it to the dump and it was 3100 lbs. Over the course of five days, carried easily 12,000 lbs of stuff down the roof, up the roof, etc.
What, no phở ?Someone dumped 8 cats (5 juveniles and 3 kittens) in the city park near our house about 3 weeks ago. Long story but the wife has been working with animal control and we fostered 2 in our garage for a few days but now all but 2 have found new homes!
Had two of those when I was a kid in the 60's. Spent many hours walking behind them. Rebuilt both a couple of times. Wish I still had one.Rebuilt the gear drive on the 30” mower, new bearings, seals, gaskets. New throttle and choke cables on the tractor and after sitting 8 years, started with 6 pulls. Went mowing…View attachment 1480464

I hear what you're sayin and feel your pain. I deal with contractors almost daily. The really good ones are booked out so far that they simply don't have to take on new customers, and the others are a "shot in the dark". Some of them are actually good guys who can't keep a crew, and others are just lazy and don't seem to want to work more than a few days a week. jdI would love to finish my building so I can get my company back up and running but I'm on my second electrical contractor now that has completely blown me off. I can't believe the behavior of these contractors. They are so unprofessional. If you're lucky enough to get one to actually give you a bid then I guess it must be a flip of the coin if they're actually going to start working when they tell you or just disappear and you never hear from them again.
What a pack of cuties!View attachment 1481342
One of the kittens I named Judy (Sweet Judy Blue eyes). She didn't last 24 hours and was adopted with her tortoise shell sister.

Here is most of the group - the brown mama at the bottom had no tail (named Stubby) and the kitten at the top also had no tail. I think they are called Manx? They both were adopted also.
The Calico mama in the middle and the white one are still available.

This is Binkey - he is so well behaved that he is the favorite of the shelter and stays at the desk all day with the receptionist. All of these cats were not feral - they were "people" cats and were just plain dumped at the public boat ramp. They ate a lot of hot dog buns and french fries.....
Building a little house on the lake for the wife and I.
