David, that's looking pretty good! :) -Al
Several shooters in our area are shooting the 30PPC as well. I have a .332 neck zero Freebore reamer for the 30PPC that several have used to chamber barrels. My first Score Rifle was a R/L Farley 6PPC that I simply screwed a 30 PPC barrel on to.
Way back when, we shot 4227 in the 30 PPC. It was very accurate at right at 3000 fps with a BIB 112.
However, that combination with the 4227 that existed then was a tad finicky. You could go from stacking one bullet atop the other to not being able to get the bolt open pretty quick.

That was when N120 was not available stateside. N-120 solved all of that once it became readily available.

The only reason I quit the 30PPC was the hassle in making cases. You first had to make the 220 Russian into a 6PPC, then blow them out or neck them up to 30, then neck turn, then shoot them possibly twice to get them ready to go to the line.

Now that Alpha has their excellent 6PPC brass, the 30 PPC is no more difficult to make than a 30 BR.

Jackie,
the 29.8 load is running 2960.
I tried 30.5 and 31.0 with no hard bolt lift and the primers were still rounded, 31.0 was running 3080 fps but had a lot of vertical.
I'm using Alpha 6.5 grendel brass which made for easy forming.

The day is off to a good start when the Capstone invoice hits my 'In Box'.

First lot of very nice long range 6mm 103gr bullets. The first target is showing me very good things! George's dies are spectacular and makes a wonderful bullet! Jackets are J4s. Got another 500 lubbed and ready to core seat and used a handy dandy 3d printed funnel thats threaded to fit wide mouth mason jars to make it easier to get jackets lubed....
