Long range bullets nice
are you shooting N120?Still working on the 108's in the 30 PPC it's starting to look promising.
I only had 5 rounds loaded at this charge and primer combination.
Yes that was 29.8 gr with Ginex primers it seems to like them better than 205m's.are you shooting N120?
David, that's looking pretty good!Yes that was 29.8 gr with Ginex primers it seems to like them better than 205m's.
Several shooters in our area are shooting the 30PPC as well. I have a .332 neck zero Freebore reamer for the 30PPC that several have used to chamber barrels. My first Score Rifle was a R/L Farley 6PPC that I simply screwed a 30 PPC barrel on to.David, that's looking pretty good!-Al

Way back when, we shot 4227 in the 30 PPC. It was very accurate at right at 3000 fps with a BIB 112.
However, that combination with the 4227 that existed then was a tad finicky. You could go from stacking one bullet atop the other to not being able to get the bolt open pretty quick.
That was when N120 was not available stateside. N-120 solved all of that once it became readily available.
The only reason I quit the 30PPC was the hassle in making cases. You first had to make the 220 Russian into a 6PPC, then blow them out or neck them up to 30, then neck turn, then shoot them possibly twice to get them ready to go to the line.
Now that Alpha has their excellent 6PPC brass, the 30 PPC is no more difficult to make than a 30 BR.
Just 8,800 to split with a pal.Al how many are coming
Yes. But there are a number of us guppies.Just 8,800 to split with a pal.
A tiny guppy in the sea of bullet sharks.![]()
SirFirst lot of very nice long range 6mm 103gr bullets. The first target is showing me very good things! George's dies are spectacular and makes a wonderful bullet! Jackets are J4s. Got another 500 lubbed and ready to core seat and used a handy dandy 3d printed funnel thats threaded to fit wide mouth mason jars to make it easier to get jackets lubed....
