Also the Speer 50 & 55 gr spitzer's are less than $10 a hundred. If they'll shoot out of your rifle 100 - 200 yards great for rodents and cost effective... Win 748 27 gr & 50 gr Speer & cci primer worked - but the barrel was a slower twist than yours.

The 223 comp gun runs 80 vld and 25 grn varget and ccibr4 running 2950fps

Won a few local comps in F class, Feild class and f open class. With a off the shelf tikka T3 Varmint, topped off with a Weaver t36

The 80s are seated long. I can mag feed from a cdi DBM and AI mag. The standard mag tikka came out with just had to modify it to fee longer rounds.

Thanks Skippy, sounds like you go through .223 ammo like a few mates I know on your island go through VB or 4X.

My MDT mags measure 2.554", what's the OAL of those long seat 80's?
