thrill of victory, agony of defeat... teslong endoscope

There are multiple Apps you can use with Android systems. Are you sure you actually installed the App, and enabled the program for device Access?

Software Functionality (Apps and/or Operating System)
Windows 7/8/10 or later (Desktop or Laptop Computer)
1. Use Windows Camera, the built-in Camera software of Windows10, only for Win10.
2. Use Teslong camera software or AmCap software

Android 4.4+ (Tablet or Smartphone)
Use Teslong Camera App, CameraFi, or USB Camera App

Mac OSX 10.6+ (Desktop or Laptop Computer)
Use Photo Booth or QuickTime Player
Still working at it, tomorrow I will try the additional apps you suggest as well windows.

Heads up to everyone who received their borescope in the small black zippered case. Do NOT store in the small black case. The LED lights on my first one that I received from Amazon have stopped working. I contacted Teslong customer service and they are already shipping me a replacement. Here is their reply:

the unit i received recently warns to not exceed the bend radius of the scope. i store mine laying flat on a shelf... just in case (pun intended)

I did recoil my first one into the small case that came with it from Amazon. The second unit I bought direct from Teslong came in a larger cardboard box. I will say that the two times I have dealt with Teslongs customer service, they have been excellent.

Got one from Amazon yesterday and the image has a bunch of lines going across the image. Uncoiled and straight as directed by still no joy. Using it on a Moto 6 with their recommended app. Before I return it, has anyone else had this issue? Otherwise the image is clear and well defined.

What app did you get to work, I tried them all on android and none connect to scope.
When I use it on a mac it works fine with no lines, do the lines look like the lines on an old tube television.
I think its a quirky gizmo, the lines may be caused by a conflict with the moto but at least you got it to work.

The app that worked was from Google Play Store, called USB Camera - Connect EasyCap or USB WebCam.
The lines were similar to a corrupted digital image.

I brought Teslong borescope after reading the review on accurate shooter and thought what the hell why not for only $50 US (so with $10 US flat shipping off Teslong website as Amazon US wouldn't ship to Australia, cost $90 aus to my door). It will be better than nothing and cheaper than most borescopes.
Well easy to use and set up. Downloaded app for phone (except I had to use USB camera on my phone) and put together and your in business.. Looked down my 6BRX barrel which only had 370 rounds down it and never used isso or JB on it and was impressed. Picture is great and no carbon ring to see but barrel was a bit dirty with carbon.. For the price it's great

My Teslong scope arrived the other day but just got around to playing with. I have a Lenovo TB X 103F tablet (cheapo from wally world), android version 6.0.1, software version TB X 103F_108317, and downloaded the GTO stuff needed from google store, and the Teslong Endoscope App per the instruction pamphlet as well. Hooked my cable up to the battery charger connector on my tablet using the flip up connector on the cable (see earlier post). All I would get is a partial picture from the business end of the Teslong, it would move around/try to display on the tablets screen but never show the entire picture.

I then deleted the above Teslong Endoscope app, and downloaded the HD version of the app, and my Teslong now works. Wife went running to hide as she has a colonoscopy scheduled early next month when I offered to do it for free. :p

I do have a 204R, so will check it soon, not expecting it fit, but it's a savage, so who knows.

ETA:
It's a no go on my Savage FV12 204R, great view of the chamber (got some ugly stuff going on in there with tool marks, etc) but that's as far as it went. Don't push hard or fast when inserting into the chamber, as the viewing head can/will/does get stuck in a 204R chamber if you don't believe me.

Ewww! (although, it would be a big money-saver)

Dr.'s office called and said her part was $275 or so, a savings of $225 if she would let me "operate". She still says NO, HELL NO. :)
