thrill of victory, agony of defeat... teslong endoscope

I ordered from Amazon last Thursday and they came back saying it was out of stock. The next day it was shipped and I got it Tuesday.

I use it on my fire Tablet, but it certainly should work on an IPad.

Forum Boss: Correction -- Current Teslong will NOT work on iPad or iPhone
------------------

I have a Fire 10HD which is the latest version except for the new one that came out this month. I don't have a port to receive an input from the camera. How did you connect?

Finally got a answer from Teslong Support, waited several days.
They said it will not work on fire and they did not include a list of what it will work on as I asked.
The fire I ordered will be here today.
Back to square "one"

Is there a place other than amazon to buy them? They have been out of stock an keep moving the date back that they will be in stock. Where y’all getting them

there is another thread about the Telsong on here, and IIRC, one guy ordered one directly from the mfr, and it shipped from China.

I saw that too. I checked amazon last night and it popped up as in stock so I ordered. We’ll see!! I guess that’s where we’re at in America. Spend a pile on a Hawkeye made here or spend fifty bucks on a chi-comm one and roll the dies with amazon ;)

well, since the probe on mine is over 38" long, i went in from the muzzle while i had a minimum length (1.901") 22-250 in the chamber (-0.002 datum length). this shows FOR THIS CHAMBER just how much safety margin is built in before neck constricts due to overlength brass:

(only thing i'm not liking is it looks like my boreguide is letting me down.... ?)

That was me. Took 20 days from ordering to receiving. I don’t blame Teslong, once it leaves their facility it’s at the mercy of shippers and customs. They were very generous by giving me a $30 credit.
I already had my first one that I ordered from Amazon, so win/win for me.

Mine arrived this morning, about 2 days ahead of expected delivery from Amazon. This is an amazing piece of equipment, really good quality optics, and can be used with or without mirror. I measured the OD of the camera w/mirror and it is .196

Don't know if that will go in a .204 bore or not, but it works in everything I have.

FWI: I am using it with a MacBook Pro and the Photo Booth app.

None of my other endo cameras will give a close in focus and run the entire length of the bore giving a clear picture of the bore condition. This one does, and I just found out the limitations of my cleaning methods, which aren't as good as I though.

On the positive side, my model 12FV, 223 barrel doesn't show "rail road tracks" in the lands like others I've seen. Might be why it shoots so well.

Great endoscope camera! Definitely recommend it as minimum equipment for barrel maintenance. At this price point, there is no reason everyone who doesn't already own a bore scope, shouldn't buy one. A real eye opener!

Still can't get an answer on which android tablet the scope will work on, I don't want to spend a lot of money on a expensive tablet or laptop to store in addition to the apple stuff I already have.

I ordered one this morning, all the great reviews and pics posted here talked me into...I am amazed what you get for 50 dollars. Without this forum I would have never known this bore scope existed ,thanks to you all for posting.

It should work on the Android if you have the proper cable adapter. You Android comes with a cable that has a usb end on it for plugging into your computer. if you have a USB extension cable you can plug the Android cable into it and then match it to the scope cable. I am looking around here for one that I know I have but can't find because I put it in a safe place!!!!!!!

The Teslong has a USB - C adapter preinstalled on the attachment end. The adapter pulls off to leave an older style USB end. Folding down the pivoting cover plate on that connection reveals an end compatible with older (pre - USB -C) charging/connector end. 3 different was to connect with any device except IPhone/IPad.

"OK" went to best buy and purchased a Samsung android tablet.
The scope won't work on it either.
This bore scope is a great tool but I still can't get it to work on anything but a Mac so its use is confined to a few feet in my family room.

These connectors will fit in both tablets and a smart phone that I tried but did me no good because the teslong app's would download but not work.

There are multiple Apps you can use with Android systems. Are you sure you actually installed the App, and enabled the program for device Access?

1. Use Windows Camera, the built-in Camera software of Windows10, only for Win10.
2. Use Teslong camera software or AmCap software
