I was never there but the wife was. We stayed at the Casino on Rosebud and I won like $700. So I asked the wife to go down there while I was shooting Prairie Dogs and get me a tall Harris Bi-Pod. She brought me a catalog too.Miss that place. Pushing a cart through the warehouse. Hated to see it go. Got my first 22 there. Spent a ton of money there. Still talk to the previous owner occasionally.
and national minimum wage went from $1.60 to $2.00 an hour that year. It's easy to look back and forget how little we made per hour. Even with todays prices I can still afford things much more now than I could back then. What bothers me is how much was available through catalogs to be shipped to your house back then that is totally gone now. When i started in 1974, bullets and powder were about $8-10

I have Three Mosin's , and one is still in original Parade Rifle condition . One has been built to a full custom F-Class rifle with .308 barrel , and one is a Long Range , "First Shot" rifle . None of them could be "touched" for $400.00 . Sorry .
