I'm going to guess that groundhogs are about lose their minds, and guts, spines, ect.

The group was well under 3/8".

X-caliber 23" 1-8t 3g (rechambered 3 times)
Degregorio 1.5oz trigger
Old 40x stock
R700 single shot
8.5-25x50LR scope
WHY A 1/8 TWIST FOR 'light" bullets.i did 1 for using 80 grain pills.?????

That 8 twist doesn't adversely affect the performance of these lighter bullets. I would go as far to say it enhances the qualities I'm looking for. Volatility of the expansion is increased with the extra 50% increase on the twist.

Ya, one shot on paper ain't sayin much, especially at 50 yards! And i don't even see the aiming point..unless you are saying you killed a fly...:):):);)

So thanks for being willing to sell that rifle to me for $200. Considering it is made from parts found in the garage, I think that is really fair. Especially since you are donating the $ to charity. You are a stand up guy AB!

Still waiting on my pictures to arrive via email, but a friend and I rang steel this morning. Shooting the 53s i managed to squeeze out a rough 3" group at 925yds. I kept thinking i was missing, yet we couldn't see the impact in the dirt. It took us riding up to the target to realize the group i shot.

Wow, for $200 I thought I was getting a gun that would shoot to 1000 yards...:cool:
