The Blame Game.....

I just read 3 pages here and can say that the experiences that I have had with people or companies in the shooting sports have all been positive. Yeah, I've had a problem here or there but a phone call took care of it. Never did mess with any porn stars though.

I heard a great saying a ways back: "If everyone else is an A^^hole, then you're the A^^hole" If you are constantly being treated poorly by people (customer service reps are people too), I'd recommend trying to look carefully inward to make sure you aren't the one creating the situations that plague you.

In my opinion, complaining loudly in a public venue about how you were treated poorly reeks of a childish tantrum and unnecessarily burns bridges you may want in the future. As above, they are people too and you never know how your loud outburst may come back to bite you. I prefer to quietly take my money elsewhere and only give my honest advice and experiences when directly solicited by others.

Amen, I couldn’t have said it any better!!

I was thinking the same thing. She was over the hill when I was in college

I heard she was trying to make a comeback but they couldn’t figure out a way to work her mobility scooter into the script
Mighta been the Walker or Crutches,Motor went KUPUT on Scooter

Haha, you have some pent up hostility, and maybe rightfully so. I'm surely not here to defend anyone, but one instance never defines a company, but it can profile a person.
First time I've heard of any bad experiences with frank@b===b. (Whoever he is !!!) Not to bring out the bashers but your right, one case does not define a companies service and like I always say, there's two sides to every case.

View attachment 1092029 Made it out yesterday for some 6.5X47L load work and sight in my 6X45AI after a barrel swap. The range "A$$hat" internet expert showed up with his new .338 LM and this group stared back at his 1 1/2"-2" group. He has previously told me, his 25 year senior, that I don't know anything because my firearms or I don't/can't shoot in the "one's". Karma is sweet...

"one's"
Maybe he meant 1.0's

Amen! In an earlier post with a similar theme, I outlined my issues with powder measures, rear bags, and a joystick rest. These (were) top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art items, for which I paid top dollar. They had problems right out of the box, or as my brother used to say: "They arrived pre-broken." :( When asked why not send them back and get a new one, I said there's no guarantee the replacement would be any better than what I already had.

I had a $150 rear bag that developed the "wobbles" after a month of use. The company's fix? Buy a rear bag "stabilizer," for another $30. My answer? Why not make a bag that doesn't get the wobbles to start with! Not even going into scopes that won't track, rings that allow the scope to move or turn, bases that move under recoil, new $400+ dollar triggers that give up, dies that need polishing before use, etc. , etc.

The takeaways: High price is not a reliable indicator of quality. Quality control is solely lacking. Buying new stuff is a total crapshoot!

I'm reminded of an old saying. "Better a Devil you know than one you don't." If you have something that's older and dependable, don't be seduced by the newer, shinier, and more expensive version of it. If you are, you're likely to end up on the wrong end of the pitchfork! :)

True words right there ,it really is a crap shoot out there. Money no longer translates to quality . I have learned to fix the faulty product or move on . It's a bummer when you get ripped off... some folks stand behind their products, some don't.

Always 2 sides, but even "Perceived" poor customer service never helps.
I just bought a Tikka 243, for a couple boys, and a certain brand of ammo would not chamber. I measured everything I could think of, pulled bullets, still no go. Finally hooked up with my gun smith, ran a GO gauge in, fine, he had a couple other brands of new brass that chambered too.
I finally picked up some more factory ammo, and shot a few yesterday, then remeasured case growth, normal. Then I took the calipers to the body-shoulder junction of the non feeding cases, it is way bigger than fired ammo coming out of the gun.
I fired off an email last night to the company, I want reimbursed for the ammo, Midway will not take the loaded ammo back, as will no retailer. I guess I'll see how this unfolds, and I'm almost positive my ability to read a caliper will be questioned, lol

You'll want to check that brass with a micrometer that's been calibrated and certified by a government approved testing agency. Your dimensions will be required in tenths. Calipers aren't going to cut it. k-whipping.gif

Lol, I had a minor flare up with a popular die maker on this site. My die was clearly out of spec, by .006" at the mouth. I got the "you do not have the proper tools to measure" spiel. Which of coarse got the "ok sonny, how about I ship it back and you decide, then get a new one back to me pronto".
With the new die, I did get a hand written note saying I was right. No harm, no foul, lol
