The 22xc Thread

Posted in a FB Varminting Group and they went crazy. Free advertisement and pushing more towards you Brad !

They wanted to know why I wasn't running a 22 creedmoor . A few had a 6xc and didn't know there was a 22xc. Less powder than creed and better efficency.

The Creedmoor was a 6.5 copy of the 6xc after David won at Perry using it.

To me, it looks just like a shortened 260.

David's design uses the front end of the 6br. I think that's ideal.

I love the 22xc. In my opinion, it is the best of the large capacity cases for varminting. For me it goes 223, 223a, 22bra, 22xc.

The 22 Creedmoor is also fine. I think the 22xc is more accurate. But the 22 Creedmoor works fine too.

I'm the only one pushing the 22xc. Which is sad. I've tried!!! I've certainly convinced some folks!!

But if someone wanted a 22gt that's probably going to be a good choice in the future. Once Lapua makes the brass, it's a no brainer. I predict I will be making lots of those in the future.

Mine is a 12tw shooting 50's and 53's , AA 2700 has been a good performer in it. Hmmm, never thought about R16... may have to give it a try. WD

Aa2700 is Win 760. This is one of the best powders in 22-250 with 50 to 55s. Just need a hot primer.

Back in the 1990s that's all we used in 22_250. 40.5 grains and a Fed 215. That was 3950 fps in a 26 inch barrel.

I have a 16" 22GT as well. I have alot of 22 cals. Haven't done a 22bra though.

Alpha makes headstamped GT brass. If you get one. I may want another barrel.
Don't believe they do so I'm trying to help.

Facebook is the devil. Best thing I ever did was getting off there. I am sure I would sell more stuff if I were on Facebook, but I guess I don't care. You know, its funny, any press I get out in the world leads to basically zero increase in sales. My sales all come from direct referral from customers.

I guess I am really missing out (they would say) because I have no social media presence. But maybe not having any has actually led to what success I do have. God brings me customers when I need them. And my customers, with rare exceptions, are great people.

I enjoy sharing your knowledge, craftsmanship and the great prices to others
