Texas LR State Championship

The sling win was by Stacey Tamulinas. An incredible 996-with a buttload.
4 points all weekend shooting a 308! Beat the 6lasers quite handily.

Wes, both Stacy and Kenny Porter are some of the finest, if not THEE FINEST Sling / Palma shooters there is, period. Stacy was off the scale consistent this weekend. Think about it, if you averaged it out he would have dropped LESS THAN A POINT on each match! That is simply amazing. But those 2 never cease to amaze me at their ability! Just last week Kenny shot a 599 - High 30 to 40 "X's" on a tougher day than today!

Here are the Top 5 F-Class from each discipline, in the order I read them off the page/pics... :-)

F-OPEN:
1. Erik Cortina: 995-57X
2. Matthew Davis: 991-49X
3. David Mann: 989-43X
4. Mark Walker: 989-32X
5. John Myers: 988-49X

F-TR:
1. Johnny Ingram: 984-32X
2. Jade Delcambre: 981-43X
3. Ray Weaver: 980-38X
4. Omar Alonzo: 977-40X
5. Allen Tampke: 977-34X

I haven't seen the Sling scores yet, hopefully someone can post them. These are all very tight scores with great X counts. Great shooting guys.

Thanks guys. There were some great scores shot this weekend at Bayou by some excellent shooters. It's a pleasure to shoot with this crowd.

Congrats, Erik. That was some good shootin'!

Looks like Jade did a good job representing Palo.

The Surgeon strikes again! We sling shooters in MN are used to getting beat up by Mr. Tamulinas. A hard holder like few others. Nice shooting Stacy!

Erik--- way to go!! A testament to your dedication and love of your sport. Keep the mojo goin', buddy!!

Thanks Scott. We need to get you set up so you can come out and shoot with us next time!

Big congrats to all the winners, they shot great!.....Big thanks to the Bayou Club guys and gals as well for putting on a great well run match even with the challenges they faced with the weather etc......Well done guys.......I always enjoy going there to shoot and visit with the friends i've made in Texas....... ;) :)

Congratulations to all the winners! What an F-Class shoot out. My hat is off to Don Diffey, Ben Brooks and all the folks at Bayou Rifles for putting on an excellent weekend of shooting of what could been a real train wreck. 4.5 inches of rain fell, well it really didn't fall, more like blew horizontally, Friday night and we got a full match in Saturday under threating conditions all day long.
Great job folks!

Congratulations to Erik! Who won FTR?

Johnny Ingram won F-T/R. I do not know what his final score was. NOW for the unreal part: Johnny has only been shooting about a year may be just a tad more! He has a natural ability and this is an amazing feat for someone just getting into this game!

Thank you Ben! You know I had a lot of help from several great folks that have helped out greatly...

And how about Bryan willing to pull his rifle apart to allow me to shot this weekend. He offer to use his action and stock with my barrel and scope. He even swapped everything over for me. Returned all my settings to zero ran back to the range to confirm my zero. How about that... All dead nuts! Awesome Kelbly action and Omar's famous laser eye NAILED it!

Congratulations to Jade and Ray for setting new 20 shot and 60 shot range records on Saturday! AWESOME Shooting!

Speaking of Awesome look at those sling shooters! WOW! Stacey and Randy with super high scores...!

Not to leave out Erik! AMAZING total score and x count over 2 days and 100 rounds... He killed that little 5" circle!

Thank you to all the folks that worked so hard to put this together... Especially Ben, Don, Linda Mae, Glenn and the rest of the crew!

It was great meeting/shooting along side of you this weekend Johnny, you were shooting awesome and deserved the win.......Congrats again!.......Erik and Stacey were on a mission as well in Open and Sling!

Great event, congratulations to all the winners.

Fredrik, YOU, my friend, shot some excellent scores yourself! I remember when you first came out to Bayou about a year or so ago, and you were struggling. You are, without a doubt, the MOST IMPROVED shooter at Bayou! Great job! It will not be long and you will be right with the "Big Dogs"..
