Congrats to Joe Fairly (OPEN), Robert Garibay (TR) and Stacey Tamulinas (Any/Any) for their wins. The people I talked to said it was a great match and really tricky conditions all weekend.
Congratulations to three new Texas Long Range Champions, Stace Tamulinas, Sling Rifle; Robert Garibay, F-TR; and Joseph Fairley, F-Open. These are every one, true gentleman-competitors, beyond their considerable shooting accomplishments.
In Team competition the Bayou Boyz withstood formidable competition from around the country, but the team bearing the Club’s name refused to be taken down at home, especially by a team with no name, ably assisted by a certain quiet non-Texan known for getting saum gold wherever he goes in the world - who just happens to look so much like an actual Texan that he can’t stay away.
Young Joshua M won High Junior and is in a golf tournament as I write this. So - Congratulations and good luck! Tracy Harrold won High Woman, Mike Kurtz won high senior and Doug Skogman won high grand senior.
We had that flavor of wind today that just melts points off the score card, but looks rather pleasant to be in. Thanks to all who came, those who sponsored and those many who helped put on the match, with special thanks to Glenn, Gary, the Bayou directors, and Claudette.
