Teslong question

Do any of you have one of the new WiFi adapters, and use it with an iphone or itablet? The reason that I ask is that an older friend just got one to use with one of the rigid bore scopes, and I would like to put him in contact with someone who can help him learn the steps needed to use this equipment.

You would think us older folks could figure it out. Me being one of them LOL .Tommy Mc

I just plugged the Teslong in and it loaded right away. Open start, select camera and you're ready to go. When your camera icon is in your taskbar on the bottom just right click on it and choose pin to taskbar.

open start menu, little box down in left corner of screen. Select CAMERA from menu, plug in TESLONG .
You will see a Teslong symbol along the upper right portion of the black margin. Above the video/ camera symbols. Select the video or photo option .
Not on my Win 10 laptop, as I stated earlier.

What exactly have you done? Try another USB port. When you plug it in it should autoload any drivers, etc. If it asks for your location just say yes for now. You can always change that. Hit start, select camera from the menu and you should be good to go. Make sure that you're connected to the internet.

I've tried both USB ports on my laptop with identical results. It doesn't autoload, and does not show up in the Camera app when it is plugged in. Just because it's SUPPOSED to work that way doesn't mean that it does.

Are you getting a light from the end of the probe when it is plugged in to the USB port? If not you either have a bad Teslong or your port isn't producing enough power for some reason.

If you have access to another computer or laptop running Win10 I would try that. If it fails to load then the problem is likely with the Teslong unit. If it does load I'm not sure how to remove the app [assuming that it should be removed], but the Teslong folks could probably tell you how.

Yes, the Teslong lights up just as soon as I plug it into the USB port. I emailed Teslong last night to see what advice they can offer. Will report back when I hear from them.

Go down load endoscope app ....
Should only need downloading the app for Android phones and devices. Windows doesn't use apps. Windows has it's own camera program and drivers. Plugging the Teslong into the port should cause the computer to automatically download the correct drivers to run the scope. I've used all of mine with Android, Chromebook, and Windows XP, 7 and 10 without issues.

Do you suppose that being in South Korea is preventing your computer from connecting to Microsoft in order to download the drivers? It should do that automatically, but perhaps your local server or even Microsoft sees it as a problem. Might want to check with your service provider.

Nicholst, Try this (if you haven't already):

Open a File Manager window, right-click the "This PC" icon in the left pane, then select Manage. Click on Device Management in the left pane. Click on Cameras in the right pane to open the list.

Plug in the Teslong, and you should get a new entry under the Cameras list. If you don't get it to come up, select Actions from the top menu, and select Scan for Hardware Changes. It should find it.

If it doesn't, I'd guess it's a problem with the scope or the USB system on the computer (which you can verify by using another USB device.)

Good luck

Tried that. The PC simply does not recognize that the Teslong is connected. The light on the borescope comes on as soon as I plug it in, so it's getting power; the PC just refuses to acknowledge it. I'm working with Teslong Support on a resolution. They're sending me a replacement cable, to see if that's the issue. If not, perhaps a new borescope is in order. I don't have an android phone to try it with - we use iPhones. I bought this unit several months ago, when the COVID-19 first hit hard and the Teslong units available began to dry up. The one with the WI-fi adapter was not available at the time.
